GDKPs are ruining wotlk

It can’t be banned. its a player to player transactions. Its akin to carry…which even the blizzarc director/president (can’t remember which) of marketing’s guild does. even put an ad on his twitter for them.

gdkp, carry have blizzard backing. player to player transaction.

It can be reduced if not removed entirely however. By 2 simple words even.

Personal loot. to set up a gdkp in personal would need the whole raid basically geared.

Now I know it not be liked. but yeah…the person gets a ungrade literally not even tradeable, it can’t go to loot pile. GDKP is now dead. at least till 95% of the raid is geared lol.

then it actually be more of a carry lol. 2-4 dead weight carries paying for drop rolls.

Woof big yikes to personal loot

nuclear option is all that is left.

the blizzard marketing dude no bs put ads on hi twitter for his retail guilds carry runs in SL. services like this are “blessed” as it were.

edit: I see carry and gdkp the same, player to player agreed to transaction.

There’s other ways they can combat rmt, like, doing a ban wave that coincides with the death knight restriction.

We can’t even have a system (RDF) that was in wrath and you want to try and pass personal loot as an idea by these Andy’s? Heh, good luck with that.

So do I, sadly that is just click bait and not the norm.

Oh I know its a hated idea. it worked though.

GDKP ain’t getting slowed till mop really when they tried group loot. and if memory serves it was optional lol.

it was later later retail that forced 1 loot to rule them all. group, then personal and now back to group (modified) in DF.

that is 3-4 years away in MOP depending on when/if cata drops.

But that is the ultimate solution to GDKP, and other loots forms that some arbitrarily consider bad like HR.

H+ should have been a lot farther away… based on that…

Yeah, but if you don’t like what’s reserved you just don’t join that raid. But there’s also the issue of extreme gatekeeping right now which makes it incredibly hard to catch-up on an alt or as a returning player so you feel compelled to go into a GDKP. The community has its hand in the detriment pot as well here. People say make your own group, maybe I don’t wanna run the group. Trying to catch-up my Paladin has been pure hell, I’m able to make my own group for the daily heroic and then maybe I’m lucky to get an old kingdom group to try for DB, plus maybe one more group and that’s it, just because my memescore isn’t grossly above the content I’m trying to do, when I am perfectly capable of doing said content.

Yep. high player expectations…people find ways to meet them.

as rng is…rng. that beaten now its HR and LC to beat.

why I stay a pvp spamming pug lol. Small goals…pvp gear off honor. keeps me content enough.

Yeah, never had gatekeeping this extreme when I played wotlk on private servers.

Well the gear score requirements would exists regardless of GDKP.

But the changes blizzard has made to wrath classic have mangled the way progression worked in wrath in a bad way.

My mage alt that is 4200GS has had trouble getting into H+ and some raids. It’s honestly pathetic, I outdo most that are in 4600ish gear. It wasn’t as bad in TBC but still experienced it. I came back during P2-P3 and not one person would take my mage who was in P1 bis.

Got a source for that?

Never bought gold once yet I make over 15k gold per week using the AH and use that gold to get gear in GDKP. Bots makes everything worst, not just GDKPs.

However without bots GDKPs would still exist because people simply like that loot system way more and it’s the reason why they leave guilds or why guilds becomes GDKP guilds, it’s the most drama free loot system that ever existed. GDKP system works whatever how is the economy and it doesn’t matter if there’s bots or not, that loot system works better than others.

The only real flaw is when you have someone who bought gold, they tend to overspend and tend to have a lead in gear (and then quit out of boredom due to getting gear too quickly), the real issue is when everyone in the raid buys gold, you end up with big pools and greed tend to take over which leads to greedy policies, those are the toxic GDKPs with scummy people, simply don’t join these groups as most GDKPs are not like that, only the craziest ones.

People that hate/complains against GDKP tend to see this in black and white because they don’t even participate in them, they just read stories on reddit and think every GDKP are like that.

In the end Blizzard has to 6months/perma ban gold buyers, it’s really that simple.

I think it ruins the game, but its not the players fault. Its blizzards. Letting players buy hundreds of thousands of gold is just pathetic and disgusting, along with the amount of bots, jajas and sirs required to go along with it.

“farm” gold … lolol

Agreed and until those long bans come back gold buyers will be ruining legitimately earned gold gdkp runs

I know right spending an hourish a day and making 600ish gold isn’t really farming, but for some of these people…

Guildie took an alt to a GDKP and a normal mode trinket went for 100k … but i’m sure he was just doing dailies
