Want to know what’s really funny? Recently blizzard announced they’re nerfing mage boosting for WOTLK because it incentivize “real money transactions”. Using the same logic they are duty bound to ban GDKP’s from the game, but the only response we’ve gotten from them is that GDKP’s are fine. LOL.
The people in charge of this game are so delusional. GDKP’s are literally destroying the game and discouraging people from playing. Why join a guild and go through the process of being a good guild members when you can just buy all the best items in the game?

Because in actual fact youre more likely to get fully bis geared out for free sooner by running with your guild
It’s sad because Blizzard has financial incentive to ban GDKP / RMT. If you can buy the best gear in the game you are far more likely to quit the game sooner. If you have to actually play the game and progress through raids then Blizzard makes more money. Which in the end is the only thing they care about.
I suspect they just haven’t thought this through or are too afraid to do anything at the risk of losing more subs than they keep.
imagine not realizing that #nochanges with 25 and/or 40 man raids that drop practically no loot would inevitably lead to people grinding and then buying their way to gear. You guys got what you asked for.
EXACTLY. When you give people short cuts to end game items it makes the game not fun and also ruins the game for everyone in the process.
MMOs are about time investment. No one wants to see people just buy end game gear they have worked hard to try and achieve. They will just quit the game.
Also the people who buy the gear will just quit because it will become boring once they have everything they want.
Having goals and working towards those goals is the ENTIRE POINT of an MMO. MMOs are not about instant gratification.
You would think Blizzard would know these basic concepts.
I don’t like GPDKs either, but it may be a necessary evil tbh. Now, if you fall behind progression wise, there no real easy way to catch up. There aren’t any casual, leveling guilds left, if any. Everyone is rearing to go when the next phase releases. How else are people supposed to play catch up. I dunno.
