Some people know how to use the AH to make gold. We call those Goblins. TSM makes being a goblin very easy. Goblins can be whales and would have earned their gold via the AH. Some people do enjoy farming. Some people would rather just raid on 8 different characters. SOme people could buy the WoW token on other game versions and use the gold they make from that to trade to SOD since that is a fully legal if not supported (meaning if you get scammed they won’t help you) way to get gold. Some people like to quest.
The nice thing about WoW is that there isn’t actually one single way to play it. And there are a lot of different ways to make gold.
Gold buyers raid log at the start of a phase and be like “I play the auction house”.
We’ve heard these lies for years. We see your epic crafted Gnomeregan pieces by lockout 2, your full boe prebis with 100+g blues and purples, and your complaints about gear that requires playing the game, like bracers from WSG rep.
These players are poison to a gaming community, and I’m so happy GDKPs are banned. Their complaints really makes it seem like the change was effective, not to mention the recent Blizzard interview.

How has it been debunked? The AH is one of the methods gold sellers deliver gold to gold buyers. And my example still stands. People who RMT use the AH thus tainting the gold supply even further.
My issue with all of this is everyone seems to be hyper focused on GDKP’s when the real problem is bots/rmt.

Blizzard openly saying it was a great decision, and that it has helped prevent laundered RMT money is the nail in the coffin for RMTKP.

Anyways sell high buy low. I ended up selling grime boxes when they were 18g a pop and I’ve bought back now that they’re sub 4g.

I’m not concerned about the opinion of RMT’ers, GDKP “totally not gold buyers”, and other people cheating for advancement.
It’s good for everyone except those persons, and the people who would directly profiteer off it with a fake-notion of ignorance claiming “OH I DIDN’T KNOW IT WAS RMT GOLD”

GDKPs are a major problem with cheating. Cheating is not allowed. GDKPs are not coming back to SoD. Please go to a version of the game that has gold buying. GDKPs are not coming back.
