Well, it will be a much bigger gesture if they ban GDKPs in Wrath. Hopefully that comes next.

Because GDKP players literally admit it. They admit it in the forums, they admit it in game, and they admit it in Discord. Stop buying gold.
And some people like farming GDKP runs.
Its the easiest way to make gold, do the raids and get free gold at the end.
You just sit in raids and collect gold like a boss.
If some idiot buys gold, then it gets stripped off of him pretty damn fast and ends up in your pocket. This allows you to buy all your alts mounts and the finer things in the game.
All you had to do was play the part of the game that you find fun.
Now blizzard has stripped it from the game.
You know what blizzard has not stripped from the game? … Sodapoppin for buying gold!

Yikes, so that was your point. You just completely changed your stance from there being no gold sinks to all of a sudden there are a ton and buying gold is up. It feels like your two statements are contradictory. If you can’t see that buying gear was the largest gold sink in a game you claim has no other gold sinks then thats ok, but weird. this is false, some enjoy the relaxation of solo farming.
I have no clue where or how they get their gold, thats not my concern. That should be blizzards concern.
I just want to play their game and instead of loot going to waste or getting DE’d … i get some sweet gold for all the gold sinks in the game without having to grind like a moron.
If blizzard can’t stop people from buying gold in their game, maybe they should re-evaluate how good they are at their job.
Their parse at their job is not even in the top 100.

Me sucking money off whales in the AH is supported by Blizzard. You sucking off whales in GDKP is not.

GDKP was invented in vanilla
It’s also banned in SoD.

I’ve played WoW since Vanilla and literally never even heard the term until the last year or two.
I’m sure at some point in the past 20 years it’s existed a few times, but it was never a popular loot system. And it never dominated the game until very recently.

We’re all aware of that. I was simply letting them know it’s been around since almost the begining.
Yeah, of course. It was still “invented” back then. I’ve also been playing since the begining. Back then it was generally a guild bringing 5-10 people in at a time maximum, and allowing them to bid for gold to support the guild as a whole. It evolved from there. They weren’t as public at the start.
