Literally what? Join a guild and raid. I haven’t GDKP’d at any point in Cata. It’s literally not required.

This stuff is honestly my biggest disagreement with you guys. You just make up straight lies and post it as if it’s fact.
You can literally join any guild and raid like normal without joining GDKP’s. It exists to make pugging your alts through heroic raids an easier task that always respects your time. Something Blizzard can’t even get right most of the time, literally look at SoD right now. SE doesn’t respect anyone’s time.
But hey I bet if SoD had GDKP’s there’d be pugs blasting through SE 24/7. Just like GDKP’s have blasted through the actually difficult raids on classic without issue for years now.
if guilds are still struggling with SE because of tuning or design flaws then your gdkp wont be blasting through it.
gdkp blasts through “actually difficult” classic raids because a huge portion of the player base have been playing those raids for, in some cases, up to 2 decades.
even if a player hasnt played those raids at all, there is still 2 decades worth of information freely available. the entire classic experience has been minmaxed. SE is knew and no one knows what the F they are doing there.

SE being new is a meme. I’m not even a great player and it takes me 2 pulls to “solve” a fight I’m literally doing this on retail, 2 pulls to figure out heroic undermine bosses and I’m parsing 80+ for ilvl, improving rapidly in M+ as well, none of this stuff is anymore “solved” than SE is. And I’m just optimizing my CD usage for everything beyond that. There are players WAY better than me. I watched Atoz stream the raid, they had the first boss figured out and just needed to adjust their strat (ex: rogue OT since bal perma silences you if you’re not in the circles) after like 3 or 4 pulls. If you think for a second good players wouldn’t be running their alts through GDKP’s clearing with 25 or fewer if it wasn’t banned, you’re crazy.
you dont even have a solid strategy for most bosses in SE yet.

SE cant be so punishing and disrespectful of your time AND be easily breezed through like you claim. those two statements directly contradict each other.

It can be both actually. Especially when you remember the context of the state the raid released in. I don’t think it’s respectful of anyone’s time for the second boss to be killable on it’s intended difficulty pretty much exclusively with an exploit.
Retail experience would actually be MORE relevant since the content is on average more difficult and actually NEW.
However, GDKP has been banned for a year, the alt population fell off over the course of SoD. If you don’t think sweatier players would be alting and running GDKP’s idk what to tell you. I don’t think SR is an experience that’s respectful of anyone’s time either. So that might explain why so few people even attempt to build pugs for SE. Wipe a few times on any given boss and you lose 8 people. Back to LFG. Good luck ever actually progressing to have enough people learn strats to spread them. Side note: How popular was Naxx pugging? It can’t have been great with the sanctified gear requirement and how inaccessible KC was for alts.
Also I really appreciate the way everyone latched onto the SoD part of a huge post. Y’all really can’t address being called out for your lies. Lets not discuss the part where even Cata still doesn’t “require” GDKP to be playable despite GDKP being allowed for 5+ years and having the wow token for over a year (almost 2?)
