Gdkp threads

Can something be done about the 1 or 2 players constantly necroing threads no one cares about?

It’s been over a year since the ban and the vast majority are happy with it.

The effort this player goes to just shows how much their business is hurting. We can all see it.

I hadn’t checked prices in several weeks. It’s down to around $1 per 100g on DS. $1.40 on NS.

I don’t know how that compares to 2019, but demand is clearly next to nonexistent. No wonder they’re campaigning so fervently.

Spam (digital):

Refers to unsolicited electronic messages, often with a commercial or malicious intent.

Can be sent through email, text messages, social media, or other digital channels.
May include phishing scams, malware, marketing messages, or other unwanted content.

In my opinion the threads are indirect marketing messages, forum posts don’t actually impact policy so they are mostly trying to keep it in people’s minds

thats a big stretch lol

I think it’s funny that the GDKP organizers keep bumping their spam threads. Such desperation due to their businesses taking a hit from the ban.

It’s been said many times: the best arguments against GDKPs are made by pro-GDKPers. The fact they don’t understand why is icing on the cake.

So don’t interrupt your adversary while they’re making a mistake.

It is spam though, and I’m sure 90% of forum posters don’t find it as amusing as I do. So there is that part.

Would be nice for a forum mod to do a cleanup here. Remove redundant and spam threads.

I agree. Necroing threads every 9 days is flooding the forums with spam

I like how the people who slander anyone who disagrees with them think they’re on the right side of any version of history.

Just keep moving those goal posts lads. Maybe one day you’ll be right or have an actual argument against GDKP’s.

By Blizzard’s definition, those threads and the way that one person continuously bumps them is spamming. The random definition you found posted on a random site does not apply here. The WoW forums are not the place for you to “market” your message.

Spamming or Trolling

This category includes:

  • Excessively communicating the same phrase, similar phrases, or pure gibberish
  • Creating threads for the sole purpose of causing unrest on the forums
  • Causing disturbances in forum threads, such as picking fights, making off topic posts that ruin the thread, insulting other posters
  • Making non-constructive posts
  • Abusing the Reported Post feature by sending false alarms or nonsensical messages
  • Numbering a thread, IBTL, TLDR, or any other fad statements

It’s definitely spam, and they have copped a 6 month vacation for spamming.

Necroing threads that no one cares about and then claiming “everyone is talking about it” is hilarious. Great entertainment.

But that’s not what I want plaguing the forums, just like they do servers.

They necro their own threads, btw. Often with alt characters.

I’ll be serious for a moment. It’s been a year since the ban was enacted. At a certain point people have to just accept it. Or move on from the game if it’s a deal breaker. Part of being an adult is accepting you don’t always get what you want. Stamping your feet for a year isn’t healthy. But then again, this is about business to them. Which goes to show what a moneymaker the GDKP industry was.

Anyway, back to the show.

Strange how the same people that want gdkps back, are also upset by the gold swap ban?

Best thing is, it was the pro gdkpers bragging that they were still getting gdkpd gold onto anni via this very method :joy:

there is no less than 6 pro gdkp threads that are active right now.

NO LESS than 6. one is enough, but honestly even that one should also be removed. the threads have served their purpose. now its just circle jerk of the same few people that continually bump it every few days.

CMs do nothing. theyre worthless.

Yup. I remember that silly little gnome (where’s he been, btw?) bragging about continuing to run GDKPs in Cata and ‘transferring’ that gold to SoD. Same with the others.

This latest gold swap ban is actually more effective than I first thought. Apparently this kind of stuff was going on a lot.

The gdkp threads and their efforts have definitely picked up since the ban.

Maybe blizzard is purposely leaving them up so the pro gdkpers can keep alerting blizzard to the numerous ways they are circumnavigating the ban :joy:

He might of finally run out of $$ to pay for his wow sub

Is this the anti gdkp echo chamber ? 90% of the posters in here are on my ignore list must be entertaining.

Cheers for putting another gdkp thread to the top of the forums.

Just did another bump of his own threads because no one cares about gdkps.

Time to let them go

You cared enough to make an echo chamber thread crying about GDKP.

Time to grow up “linguistics expert”.
