As we all know, Blizzard has limited resources to track down bots and other cheaters. So it is on the players to police the community and create a game that’s not safe for players who violate the terms of service.
I propose that similar to a bug bounty program, blizzard award players whose reporting of cheating leads to an account suspension be rewarded with gold or some other compensation.
Even after Blizzard officially announced GDKP was in violation of the ToS, there’s still countless threads of people complaining and stating that they will circumvent it by coordinating in Discord or other platforms.
I think it’d be helpful for normal, honest, non-cheating players to infiltrate these communities and report everyone engaged in botting, money to gold transactions, and GDKP.
Furthermore I believe Blizzard should ban anyone in the forums advocating GDKP, as it is actively promoting violating the ToS.
You mean to say that 20 GMs in Egypt and Portugal outsourced through a company called Teleperformance and paid $200 per month is not enough to stop cheaters?
no no, you got it totally wrong. We are not snitching on you. We are standing in your face telling you to take your crappy GDKP out of classic. Blizzard just joined the party. It’s never too late.
Yeah I don’t see how this would bring any value. You can get your AI generated in game mail and like it. This “bandaid” of a fix isn’t going to do any good.
The actions they should be taking is account bannings of RMTs on both sides, not weak short-term suspensions. Whether or not gdkps exist, bots and gold buyers are still the problem. This is going to barely make a dent.
But hey, more hard reserve runs, more selling raid spots, more ninja looting and fake "dc"s when an item doesnt drop. Raiding as the lord intended. Hell ya! Winning!
Look I’m just saying that if we are going to restore glory to WoW, we need a new regime predicated on upholding traditional WoW values. The GDKPs have been taking advantage of the good will of the pureblooded WoW player and have been a parasite upon the noble and honorable world they’ve created.
This will not end until good samaritans police their friends and neighbors for anyone who is a GDKPs or even hiding, protecting, or aiding GDKPs. These vermin only wish to make themselves richer, hoarding gold and trinkets while watching the rest of glorious WoW suffer.
I’m thus in favor of mass eradication to purify WoW of the GDKP sickness. Blizzard should also create an elite moderator group of GDKP hunters to use all technology available to route GDKP out of their holes.
Of course, we need to get everyone on board and not everyone takes the GDKP threat seriously. Perhaps streamers can unanimously log in on phase 2 launch, causing mass server issues, and we can blame this on the GDKP causing destruction and unrest.
