Blizzard have done an astonishing job at their cancer cure research, to remove toxicity from their premier classic anniversary server and have the cancer isolated into a forum where no one cares, truly the goats of video games
Barrens chat was entertaining 20 years ago, but can’t hold a candle to these forums. This place is endlessly entertaining.
I suppose there’s toxicity, but only if you care what people say. To me watching the desperate, illogical arguments people make (GDKPs being the funniest topic) is simply hilarious. It’s a loot system in a video game and a year later they’re still whining about it. How is that not funny?
It’s funny seeing someone cry on this void because they can’t operate a pyramid scheme in a video game to make a secondary income and to weave all this mental gymnastics to claim how it’s healthy for the entire game and it’s playerbase

I’m not sure about that. I’d bet all my money that the majority of players are PvE rushers/spammers in classic nowadays (All versions included - yes Cata Classic was Vanilla too once)
No, the best content in classic is the leveling content.
Raiding is just not a popular game mode, not in classic, not in retail, not in any video that has ever had raids.

Classic fans came for the PvP, they stayed for the leveling, and they left when the game started to funnel everybody into raids.

PvP is still actually very popular despite the years and years of neglect and indifference.
It’s not as popular as M+ and raiding combined, but it’s more popular than either of them individual. Casuals love BGs.
People find fun in different things. Some like raiding with their guilds. Others like raiding for gold. Both can exist at the same time!
