This ignores the fact that 90% of the player base would quit right then and there since MOST players earned their gold legitly.

And even if they did wipe all the gold GDKPs would still be the best loot system for pugging anyway.

All the gold buyers jumping in here to defend insane amounts in GDKPs just show how big of a problem it is.

I mean they quit banning for buying gold and they sell gold on retail so who wouldn’t buy gold?? Its cheaper than taking your mom out on a date.

I haven’t seen anything that would make me think the ratio of bought gold is any higher in GDKP’s than it is anywhere else in the game.

It’s not hard to figure out. There are hundreds of thousands of bots farming gold 24/7 to sell. GDKPers buy the gold, because they want the advantage. As GDKP pots grow, so does the demand for gold, which the sellers provide with bots. It’s a vicious cycle, and the only way to break it is by breaking up GDKPs.

Now the raid is at an advantage, 1 less person needs it in my raid and the raid the guy paid 370k for it they all have more gold to.buy it next time and 1 less person needs it.

Guilds usually have the same people raiding together every week. This isn’t necessarily the case with GDKPs. A different whale will be in the GDKP next week trying to buy that trinket. Someone who doesn’t swipe is far less likely to get the highly contested items in GDKPs.
