You are also forgetting the most crucial point, the casual doesn’t even get an invite to the gdkp.
Why not? Your definition of casual doesn’t mean they have to be awful at the game. Most GDKP’s will take you as long as you’ve got the gear to clear the content (in vanilla this is pretty bare minimum, if you can farm 90% of your pre-raid bis they’ll take you), and then have some gold saved up you’re good to go. You don’t even need that much, start with Ony/ZG/AQ20 GDKP’s and move up when you’ve made enough gold.
And didn’t we just have a log linked of an SR pug going 3 hours in MC on fresh and not even kill rag lmao.
Casual means not spending 4 hours in bad pugs not including the time it takes to find one and get started.
Casual means not committing to a guild to raid at a set time every week.
When gdkp was not banned there was runs going at all hours of the day and they were very efficient.
I currently don’t raid or parse and I don’t care about killing npcs better than other people. That’s not what I play for. When I did in phase 1 and 2 I did 90+. That was on living flame.
I want a few pieces of loot from raid and that’s it. Not to make it a lifestyle. I’ve got a wife and a baby. Are you understanding what casual means now?
As I said GDKP is the superior loot system— it has been explained why in detail and it’s irrefutable. Gold buying and selling is the issue not gdkp.

Stop running with trade-chat GDKP’s then. Stax literally had 15+ runs on any given day that were all vetted and you could find one that fit what you needed to get in and start making gold.

Dang bro you try so hard to just argue about nothings. You can make gold in a million different ways. I made thousands in classic selling ghost mushrooms, which can be farmed uncontested in Mara/Dire Maul. I made thousands in TBC farming a hyperspawn in SMV for the aldor rep things as well as afk flying laps for motes of shadow/air/mana with the mote extractor. ANYONE can do these farms and save up gold. I got into stax with basically nothing and worked my way up to SWP GDKP’s in the final weeks of TBC classic.
Like I said gdkp haters just don’t want casual players to enjoy a game that for them is their whole life.

The pug scene on SoD is night and day dead by comparison to what we had even in 2019 vanilla. There’s no incentive to pug and with the difficulty spike in BWL and AQ, pugs can’t full clear (in BWL they can’t consistently 3 trial, highly dependent on group skill/comp/what trials are that week)
If you actually had any critical thinking you’d recognize the GDKP ban for what it actually is. A do nothing change where they spout a bunch of nonsense about how this change needs to be done to curb botting and RMT (it didn’t, SoD botting and RMT still rampant) and stop erosion of the traditional guild structure (not sure how it erodes guild structure when the vast majority of GDKP is being done on alts but okay), pat themselves on the back and call it a fiscal year while a bunch of idiots on the internet celebrate the end of RMT and botting (it’s still rampant). There’s no further changes coming to curb RMT and botting, this was it.
All they did was remove a loot system and now everyone thinks the war is over. Meanwhile, HC players receiving death threats from botters for interfering lmao.
That’s all I’m saying. That’s what all my posts on GDKP amount to. I do not care if they bring it back. It’s irrelevant. I simply don’t play an alt or pug without it. I’ll happily play wow less and play better games more.
