It’s time to accept that GDKP systems are the future of WoW and MMORPGs in general.
It’s also time for Blizzard to consider including the “Game Token” system to Classic WoW, though, this needs to be done by expanding the use of the game token to the Blizzard shop.
Your time has value. This means the time you spend in WoW, grinding for limited consumable materials, has value.
This is the future of gaming, it’s time to accept the inevitable.
Its such trash that China gets the WoW token and GDKPs because “its their culture” but a few whiney babies in NA get their way and suck all the fun out of it.
Its our culture too damnit. We love to spend money on useless garbage…
Bring the token and GDKP to classic ASAP… SAVE THE GAME
Inb4 the same 2 people who post on literally every gdkp post (and are the only 2 people on the entire forum who oppose gdkps) post again. The same shtick every time
WoW Classic has had a game token, afaik on Chinese servers since 2020-ish?
I think it might make sense to have some different server types, like those with bans on GDKP, and maybe even boosting, and then those that support GDKP, and maybe even have tokens. Then let the people decide which they would prefer to play on.
GDKPs, boosts, gold tokens, none of this belongs in Classic. That is all for the modern “gamer” who doesn’t like playing videogames, but likes bragging about the pixels they bought to their online acquaintances so they can compare who has more credit cards:accounts ratio.
If all the loot was available on the store it wouldn’t be seen as an accomplishment to have it. Gold for gear cheapens the gear and the accomplishment because any idiot can spend money. I for one would never brag about spending real money on pixels but some people really are that susceptible to advertising.
Eventually the gear would be seen as a marker for poor financial decisions and delusion, Just like the Quel’serrar and Lionheart helm are seen as tacky noob bait and the people who get suckered into this kind of stuff are seen as weak-willed and insecure.
Was better when we were just no-lifers who played too much but play just a little bit and spend hours of your paycheck? hah that’s a double whammy
