GDKP and "Game Tokens" are the future of Classic WoW

It’s time to accept that GDKP systems are the future of WoW and MMORPGs in general.

It’s also time for Blizzard to consider including the “Game Token” system to Classic WoW, though, this needs to be done by expanding the use of the game token to the Blizzard shop.

Your time has value. This means the time you spend in WoW, grinding for limited consumable materials, has value.

This is the future of gaming, it’s time to accept the inevitable.

I prefer to have gdkps and hope they come back, but this is a bad take.

Keep game tokens out. You don’t need to be rewarded for your time, you can just play to have fun.

Hmm, a 0 post character making a pro-GDKP thread.

Wonder which of the 3 spammer’s alt he is.

If I was Blizzard, I would have have a contract with McDonalds and Pepsico to sell their products in the Blizzard Store for game tokens.

Its such trash that China gets the WoW token and GDKPs because “its their culture” but a few whiney babies in NA get their way and suck all the fun out of it.

Its our culture too damnit. We love to spend money on useless garbage…

Bring the token and GDKP to classic ASAP… SAVE THE GAME

Inb4 the same 2 people who post on literally every gdkp post (and are the only 2 people on the entire forum who oppose gdkps) post again. The same shtick every time

So when you walk into hotel room do you just instinctively go straight to the cuck chair and sit down?

WoW Classic has had a game token, afaik on Chinese servers since 2020-ish?

I think it might make sense to have some different server types, like those with bans on GDKP, and maybe even boosting, and then those that support GDKP, and maybe even have tokens. Then let the people decide which they would prefer to play on.

Yes bring GDKP and the wow token back into the game. But then i might just start playing again and get addicted again so maybe no. But maybe yes!

Hotels in Asia are far nicer than the ones in America. Funny how that mirrors.

better wow servers and better hotels.

gdkp’s been the prefered method for most players for a long time.

GDKPs, boosts, gold tokens, none of this belongs in Classic. That is all for the modern “gamer” who doesn’t like playing videogames, but likes bragging about the pixels they bought to their online acquaintances so they can compare who has more credit cards:accounts ratio.

China sees the ultimate end game in AI and what will have value in the future.

I would suggest starting with a PvP and a normal server that offer something like I suggested.

I personally like Classic either way.

In all of Asia or just the one you went to that one time in Hong Kong that your company paid for?

If all the loot was available on the store it wouldn’t be seen as an accomplishment to have it. Gold for gear cheapens the gear and the accomplishment because any idiot can spend money. I for one would never brag about spending real money on pixels but some people really are that susceptible to advertising.

Eventually the gear would be seen as a marker for poor financial decisions and delusion, Just like the Quel’serrar and Lionheart helm are seen as tacky noob bait and the people who get suckered into this kind of stuff are seen as weak-willed and insecure.

Was better when we were just no-lifers who played too much but play just a little bit and spend hours of your paycheck? hah that’s a double whammy

Gotta love the Zoomer mantra “You need to respect my time!!”

You’re playing a freaking video game. You should want to play it. But to GDKPers it’s not a game; it’s business.

Gdkps and boosts have been in the game since the beginning.

I’m sorry if some feel I’m being “promotional” in any way.

I know this is a difficult topic to discuss for many and it brings about peoples emotions.

My intentions are in no way meant to promote any service or product but rather spark a conversation about the future of WoW and gaming in general.

Again, I apologize if I have upset anyone or discussed a taboo subject.

You assume every GDKPer swipes.

You also assume typing /roll requires any more skill than swiping a credit card?

I’d say its harder to buy gold than type /roll, looking at both actions literally.

No.
It’s really not.
