1 day before its against ToS I’m receiving emails from customer support saying I’m getting warnings for GDKPs when I haven’t run in a GDKP since the announcement.
another automated system that will screw people over. YEET
I have ran 3 in all of phase 1 and I got the email just now
I’m okay with it making up for lost time.
Are you sure this isn’t just a general announcement from Blizzard about a very specific policy change?
Did you get an email?
I didn’t.
They’re obviously sending out emails to GDKP people as a signal that they can tell what they’re doing. It is a scare tactic and also informative for anybody who doesn’t pay attention to anything outside of the game.
Now no one can claim they just didn’t know.

Obviously they are taking action to peoples accounts
Oh mannnn, they already got eyes on all the GDKP runners LOL. That is actually amazing.
Homie, they are warning you. And it seems like they KNOW exactly who has been running GDKPs…they keepin tabs lol.
What an awesome day. First the matchmaking gets hugely upgraded for BGs, now this. Things are looking up all of a sudden.
Heresy will be routed out before the patch even drops.
Truly momentous day, common Blizz Ws all day.
even if said email is targeted rather than a blanket announcement to all accounts with an SoD character, would still be a good idea for blizzard to let those players know that their accounts could be actioned in the very near future.
looks like said email is targeted
I just had a realization.
GDKP players are basically virtual gold diggers lmao.
This is not obvious.
This email reads to me as though Blizzard knows that most people don’t read the forums, or wowhead, or twitter, or watch every single youtube video they put out.
So Blizzard is doing the same thing and sending out this email to everyone their systems registered as having participated in a GDKP raid in the past to warn you guys ahead of time that it will no longer be allowed starting tomorrow when Phase 2 drops.
Though its weird, I did a single GDKP about four weeks ago to see what they were like and I didn’t receive this email. I wonder why the system didn’t pick me up.
EDIT: Maybe it only sends emails to people who did 2 GDKPs or more lel
Carry the Emperor´s will as your torch, with it destroy the shadows. Blessed is the mind too small for doubt. To admit defeat is to blaspheme against the Emperor.
They are warning you so you can’t play dumb when GDKPs are banned and you try to run them in P2.
It’s a warning to let you know, they can detect that you have done GDKPs.
It’s a F around and find out warning.
Nice self report on gold buying BTW.
It def seems sus…

Apparently they have some sort of detection system that was able to detect all accounts that participated in GDKPs over the course of P1.
Take that for what it’s worth, maybe you can bypass it with verbal jujitsu. Fair warning though, nobody here is going to care next week about the flood of “I was banned but wasn’t technically GDKPing” topics.
