Why are so many Gd regular forum posters so angry, are you all really that mad that you didn’t get picked for the Cc?
That or they’re the type poster who already had an axe to grind and CC gave them an outlet for doing so.
I think it was the idea that maybe they’d get listened to inn GD. With the CC forum they’ll have no need to look at GD. However, when’s the last blue post in GD?
Both are equally worthless. Oh and you bring shame to Male Human Paladins if this is the best you can do on a Sunday.
Cut him some slack, he’s probably one of the 20% of the CC that were removed last week.
One person out of 40 does not = 20%.
Someone is either misinformed or bad at math.
I came here because I was promised pie. I’m still here waiting for my promised pie.
Was it only 1 person? I was told it was every CC screenshotted in that discord.
It’s because of the asmon video title xd
Yes. I did ask Kaivax about it yesterday. They don’t do details, but did confirm it was one person. So either Asmongold is misinformed, or someone is outright lying.
There was only one CC person in those screenshots that I know of. That was Pros. There are also some pretty vile Twitter accounts going around claiming to be on the Council who are not. Just trolling, but it still creates confusion.
If people want to discuss the CC topics we have a perfectly good set of forums right here that are in the open, documented, and moderated. Any CC member can make a thread here and just say “hey what do you guys think about X idea”. GD folks are free to make a thread talking about something a CC person posted like the Warforging topic.
Blizz was clear with us that all the real game discussions should be taking place in public on the forums.
I honestly hope it gets GD talking constructively about things instead of attacking people/exaggerating/trolling.
Nobody has to agree, but healthy discussion is good.
There are people who come to the forums regularly to claim Blizzard has some kind of personal vendetta against them, their class, their faction, whatever. It happens all the time.
People thought Blizzard not giving high elves was some kind of malefic insult to the Alliance by someone pulling a Mr. Burns and going “Excellent” while making a finger tent. People think all the time that Blizzard’s lack of balance in arena is somehow because they hate their class / spec. People make big deals about being ‘victims’ of Blizzard all the time.
It is unfortunately nothing new, and should surprise no one that there are people who would take applying for the Community Council and not being chosen as some kind of personal dismissal.
In the video, Asmon was told that Pros had created 20% of the topics in the CC forum. I haven’t checked the math but that’s why the video was titled the way it was.
Explain your methodology for determining anger
I’m curious if this is here to intentionally troll or if it is a lack of social skills ![]()
The title is still outright flat wrong and misleading. Insert [media, clickbait titles, downfall of civilization, etc].
Why does everything have to be spun into something it is not for clicks? Why can’t we just have boring nice things.
Here you go
and coffee
if you wish it.
sets out enough for everyone
For me? It boils down to not enough hugs as a child.
Certifiable.
As it stands right now, i get more carbon copies than i can handle, last thing i want is more.
Who really cares? CC is not better than any other poster on the regular forums. You are just read once in a while and then ignored just like on here.
why are you making a thread on this? just trolling or trying to do something constructive?
and how did the thread get derailed so fast - not that it was a great topic to begin with but…
A new person to the Forums could probably say that any day of the week, on any subject.
No, I didn’t apply. What ever the merits of this council, I respect that it would take a certain commitment of time and energy that I don’t have.
There are a lot of potential negatives.
One is that they dug a huge ditch, tossed everyone into it, and built a council on top, out of a few hand picked folks. Basically suggesting they don’t want to hear from us, unless we are in the council.
Then we have the potential for people to further sully Blizzard and the council with their “outside” actions. Just as an example, what if we learn a Council Member was a treasonous MAGA on January 6th who attacked the government. People will debate if Blizz should kick them, or not, and it will bring unneeded drama and controversy.
This whole Discord / racism thing, and the removal of a member, is an example. And it is just the beginning.
If Blizz is doing something like this, they should take care, do some digging, and lay out terms so their is no ambiguity. The timing for such an endeavor is not only suspect, but just bad. Blizzard hand picked people and still stepped in it.
dont you know anything about emotions anger and hate are supreme on the internet as well as the victim mentality
Not to be pessimistic, but boring and nice don’t exactly do much for people. It’s why the news is what it is, and it’s why coverage of video games and such is what it is.
