It used to be 6, then they changed it to 9 in late MOP or WOD,iirc. They also increased the amount of fragments per dig as well, so that you spend less time traveling and more time on site.

I thought it was bugging out. I just started archeo in draenor so I’m like thinking, ok, here’s the first bug and hoping there are no more.
