Interesting fact: Both Japanese Miko and Japanese Priests and Priestesses have equal power!
The only difference is that Miko assist the Priests and preform the Water Ritual as well as the Kagura Dance that signifies the Miko as the Children of the Gods.
Priestesses can wear the same clothes as Miko and unlike Miko they don't have to be virgins. And since the Miko assist the Priests and Priestesses the Priestesses can slack off doing the bare minimum while the Miko do the dirty work!
If a Miko loses their virginity they can't be Miko and must find another job even if it is the job of Priestess(which allows them to keep their special white Kimono and red Hakama). Even if they decide to become a Priestess they officially can't preform the sacred rituals unique to Miko.

We really need a TMNT Cartoon where an Edo Period-style Foot Clan City(under New York)'s Shinto Shrine has both Male and Female Miko getting bossed around by Shinto Priests and Priestesses!
The Foot Clan City would preferably be visited only after the Shredder is defeated and Raph takes over the Foot like in Mirage Comics. Would give Japanese culture to TMNT...

I hope this building has goblin sized cubby holes that I can build a pillow and blanket palace in.
Bad headache and almost no sleep. Have to deal with the carpet cleaners anyway.
Working on getting materials for a carrot and leek stew to go in the crockpot. As frazzled as I will be at the end of today I'm not seeing a strong desire to cook. So either I cook now, or eat a peanut butter sandwich for dinner.
