I’m ok.
I do kind of expect the picturesque calm of the morning to be shattered by screaming children soon…So I decided to start thing on a high note by eating mint chocolate-chip icecream for breakfast.
That sounds like a great breakfast.
What are the plans for today?
Watch kids open presents for a few hours, then start working on Christmas dinner.
Go for a walk at some point. Probably around the time these kids start having meltdowns over stupid stuff.

Two, but one is in the tiny drunk phase…with a side of violent outbursts. And the other is ten…and a prime candidate for “most likely to be punched in the face” for his class.
I’m not saying their parents hearts aren’t in the right place as far as teaching these children to function with other people…just that they have failed.
Ow, little sociopaths. Yikes.
Let’s hope they improve with the years.
How was dinner yesterday?
Yep. Over the last few days they have done things that would have caused my parents to stuff my presents into the garbage.
Lasting consequences for poor behavior must not be in style for what ever school of parenting their parents ascribe to.
Dinner was delicious. A Ruben sandwich makes for a surprisingly good noodle dish.
I plan to have the leftovers for lunch.
ME I’m gonna enjoy a day of not having to make Chinese\Asian food or have to make sure all my people are doing their jobs.
Plus spend some time with family and possibly go see a movie later.

Go see Aquaman, it’s awesome.
I think it’s just the style of parenting of the current era where you can’t be any type of stern with a child because anything at all is considered a form of abuse or trauma. Is like all us humans are made of easily damaged crystal now.
