umm… well they finally got around to my “stuck” ticket.
… about a day after i became unstuck.
i was hanging in the ruby dragonshrine crafting, then got dc’d… and when i logged back in i was in Desolace 
(with a nice RP story about why the GM chose that location)

I need to alert you that I moved the character to desolace, that like the name implies is one of the most deserted areas of world of warcraft…
then went on to say that because there were no people there, i shouldn’t have any login issues with lag etc
the ticket was handled by one of the EU GMs… it’s got me wondering if the EU folks can handle NA tickets, if there is some sort of hope for the future of the possibility of the regions being connected?

i thought it was a bit more in depth when i skimmed the ticket.
the rest was about how it was highly unlikely i’d get pvp’d when i logged back in…
and that reducing ground clutter can help prevent collision disconnects with some hardware.
i just thought i’d crashed, then wondered why i wasn’t in Westfall graveyard.
i don’t think i was at a graveyard at all, just a random spot in the world.
i flew around killed a couple of rares, looted a chest and got about 890xp for it!

yeah, the default location for alliance is Westfall graveyard.
i think i was placed specifically in Desolace just to be as far away as possible from anything, so there would be no issues with lag caused by lots of players in one spot
…and i decided since i was far away from current content, i’d hand in some old quests, run Emerald Nightmare for mogs, and do some other random chores in Legion… and GOT MY CLOUDWING HIPPOGRYPH!!!

day just got even better
i opened a Nightborne cache, and got the Flying Carpet!!
…which put me at 350 mounts, and gave me the Frostshard Infernal!
i spent an entire expansion and beyond trying to farm both of those rep mounts… then i open 2 in one day and get them both?
oh… and also got a legendary helm, which gave me a secondary appearance.
i was so distracted by the orange thing, it took me a second to notice the mount
