…thanks for going through this list of ideas, he’s my first kitty and i want to make sure i’ve tried everything… there are so many things i just wouldn’t have thought of because this is all so new to me.

oh lordy… my brain didn’t even go there 
he’d been drinking fine, he loved his fountain, and he would nag me to give him “bathroom water” in a bowl in the bedroom.
that’s why i think it was something which happened here… and it’s only the two of us.
there was a ping-pong ball stuck behind a water bowl in the laundry, and that’s the best guess i’ve got right now… is that he tried to get the ball, and slopped water and scared himself.
but i wouldn’t have thought that would completely stop him from drinking.
hmm i might see if he’ll drink water while i hold it.
if he’ll drink the milk while i hold it, maybe he’ll drink the water… i haven’t tried that.
anyhoo, i’m gonna get out the door while he’s asleep.
i want to give myself an hour in the pool.
when i get back, i’ll give his fountain a good clean out and change the filter, and give his eating/drinking zone in the kitchen a really good freshen up.
i’m not sure how they check urinary tract, but he’s had a TON of x-rays, and he seems to be peeing ok.
i’m amazed how much fluid he’s outputting, compared to his intake.

“At least he is peeing. They have a special way they check the Urinary System. Ask your Vet about it. Clean water is important. Try this, let some water run in the bathroom, or Kitchen, sink, and see if that catches his interest.”

got him to have a little more of the milk, and put some water in with his afternoon tea.
i really want to freshen the fountain up… he started going towards it, but then got all scared again.
he’s at his food station right now, so i’ll wait until he’s clear of the area before i do anything.
i don’t want to risk anything which may frighten him more.
it’s so weird, because he’s such a placid little chonker.
he’s not scared of much.
as long as i’m able to keep getting SOME fluid into him, and as long as he’s still peeing, that’s the main thing.
swim was good.
i’m pretty zonked now

Keep in mind that cats, unlike humans, can taste water. Humans can taste the minerals in water but not the water itself which is why trying to drink distilled water is a strange experience.
Try giving him some bottled water and see if that changes his reaction.

tried bottled water.
and i guess i’m inhuman, because all water sources taste different to me.
where i live now, has the cleanest water i’ve ever had.
prior to living here, i had to drink bottled water.
the biggest issue i have with water, is smell.
most smells like chlorine, some smells like copper coins (probably from the pipes)
i’ve never tried drinking distilled water.
went to a mineral spring once, people were raving about the taste of the water, it just tasted like salty sea water to me.
i think my heightened sense of smell is the cause of the taste in water.
i can smell stuff other people think is insane.
i can smell when i have an infection brewing… my GP used to just roll his eyes and smirk when i’d tell him “i can smell infection”… but i’ve never been wrong, and he just takes my word for it now, and runs bloods to confirm.
i’m like a cage canary when it comes to gas leaks or something smoldering.
…and smells were SO much more amplified when i was pregnant. (especially bad ones) 
anyhoo, i got him to have 2 small drinks of milk and milk with water tonight.
washed his fountain out, and it had a slight residue, but that may be because he wasn’t drinking, and it wasn’t getting refreshed as often.
He made sad straining meows while he tried to do poopy tonight.
i’m hoping that the switch to a full wet food diet, combined with the milk, will help a bit.
i had a go at coaxing him toward the fountain, and he looks interested… but still scared.

i spent all night fantasizing about a chicken schnitzel burger.
i think todays plan… is make a shopping list, go do shopping at around lunch time.
…and get a schnitty for lunch!
with chips. and a coke.
that should offset yesterdays swim

eh… at this point, everything we consume contains microplastics.
watch cancer rates spike in the next 30 years or so.
all these petroleum biproducts floating around in peoples bodies isn’t going to end well.
(i won’t still be around to see, but i feel confident in my prediction!)
plastic containers for things like drinks shouldn’t even exist.
waxed cardboard or glass are perfectly viable options.
i’ll send some positive thoughts and good vibes in her direction.

You know it to be true my huge bovine friend, but it’s the human experience to have some sort of poison forced into your life! We got delicious microplastics with just a spicy hint of forever chemicals ala DuPont! Granting a amazing stomach cancer experience for our older generations!
The older folks don’t get off the hook though, as we goblins say! I might be full of microplastics, but me dad was full of asbestus and my grandpappy full of lead paint!
If we didn’t sell plastic containers what would we have the wildlife choke on and die from?!? How would my brother in pharmaceutical priesthood make money off of future patients?!
