had torrential rain this morning… a couple of my concrete toadstools didn’t hold up too well. 
sort of glad it happened, because i was considering making a little production line to sell them at an upcoming market.
i’ll repaint the badly damaged ones, and put them under a tree where the weather extremes won’t be as severe.

they were sealed… but the rain just sliced through it and shredded it.
probably because the paint and sealant layers were baked brittle from the scorching heat.
it was beautiful to wake up to such insane rain, but as soon as i was awake enough to figure out how heavy it was, i got up to check if the street was flooded, and see which direction the rain was falling.
(if it’s aiming towards the back door, i need to put a towel at the bottom of the door to stop it running inside… it bypasses the awning and the weather strip) 
i had to move a couple of carpet squares in the carport, and swept a bunch of water away from the others because i didn’t want to move them all 
“I never have that problem. I use clear spray auto sealant. It can take the heat AND the cold.”
the one which suffered the most, was the red one which was painted with brake caliper paint.
i thought that would have been the toughest of them all.
in order of damage worst to least:
caliper paint
spray enamel
industrial acrylic
craft acrylic
the exact opposite of how i thought they’d all stand up against the weather extremes
“Then I would stick with this one, to play it safe.”

yeah… totally unexpected result.
we’ve got some of the worlds highest UV ratings here… i guess the caliper paint is rated for radiant heat, and not UV.
Trying to browse online for a new set of headphones
Eugh I just want some that I can plug right into my computer without charging it. Or less bass boost because I hate it when music is drowned out by it. A little is okay but some headphones are way too bassy.
Doesn’t help that I’m pretty much cursed when it comes to headphones. I could be really careful with them and they end up breaking lol

I’ve been really happy with my Corsair Void Pro USB. It gets worn whenever I’m on the computer to avoid driving my wife crazy so has a lot of mileage and is holding up well. Obviously your mileage may vary. 
Heard of that brand. I think I had a pair in the past but I’m not sure.
