If only I could write as well

ugh, I think I used the goblin term for “More Spinach on the Pizza” instead of “the file is reloaded” :woman_facepalming:

At least it’s friday

Boss says I shouldn’t be so aggressive with production support.

I’m not too aggressive

It’s not Friday, it’s FriYAY!

And as far as writing goes, as long as it sincere and straight from the heart, it never matters how “well” something is written :bear::heart::rabbit::heart::grin:

You can say to me, whatever you wish, whenever you wish, however you wish :rabbit::heart::bear:

Instead of hiring folks who can do their job, they are hiring based on x and y. I wouldn’t live in California even if I fell in love with the richest man alive who proposed to me.

I don’t care about peoples personal backgrounds, just be a decent person and be able to perform the task given to you. If you can’t do your job, no matter what.your personal background, you should go seek other opportunities.

Some people lack the sense that hirings are based on who can do the job.

When I hired folks here in California I paid more attention to character than skills, especially at the entry level. I can teach someone to be a good telephone support tech but I can’t teach a brilliant geek with zero people skills to not alienate customers long before the issue had even been resolved.

I spent most of my last 30 year of my career in medium and large corporations and not once was hiring a brilliant jerk ever worth it. The impact on team cohesion was so corrosive it was impossible to accomplish goals without spending far too much time playing referee. In my experience, a solid, cohesive team will generally outperform a caustic collection of smart jerks.

Certainly, there were other managers who prized talent over teamwork because teamwork isn’t a value, such as commission sales people. Usually, managers there will foster and egg on the aggressive aspects of their staff and try to cover up the behavior of the successful ones.

Yes, especially when it comes to learning and getting along with others.

Teamwork is important too. Something that lacks where I work.

It is tame enough I can share. Also not what you expect.

How does a person get a PTR key? I never done one before.

For the typical PTR, you can just download and install it from the launcher by using the drop down menu for game version on the WoW page. And then once you’ve done that you make sure the PTR is selected and hit play, as if you’re playing normal WoW.

It’s been an age since I actually bothered messing with PTR for WoW, but on what would normally be the character select screen ,iirc, there are options for using a premade character or copying over one of your retail characters.

Life is good. Right now fat and happy with breakfast done, morning chores done and just relaxing until my wife finishes with the elliptical so this geezer can stay in some semblance of fitness.

Hopefully, you get your healing weekend and you’re all ready for another week of leveling in life. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy some success and gain a level, maybe score some mythic level or 2600 PvP career gear.

So far I’m doing reasonably well, things had deteriorated temporarily. A lot has to do with my physical ailments as of late.

My relationship side isn’t doing too well either but I’m also going to chat to my therapist a couple days a week. It’s helpful somewhat, but I still miss connecting with real people, you know, actual friends. Something ironically I am horrible at in real life as some know.

But I do try to tip that scale a little bit back the other way by doing things like this

“I dreamed a dream…Now that dream…is…no more”

“Once upon a time, I dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of my happiness as a butterfly, unaware that I was myself. Soon I awakened, and there I was, veritably myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.”
