FF14 wasn’t the only game that had that type of feel. My old SWTOR server felt that way but there were a lot more “you talk about WoW and they will be vocal on why they rushed away from the game.”
Also I remember someone being semi passive aggressive with the story when I was leveling with them. When I said I had skimmed though the dialogue as it was very slow with the story atm and the story being about we go kill an encampment to make them feel a bit safer didn’t make them feel that happy and they made me know it. To me that story section felt like filler (and FF14 agreed as they cut down on a lot of story section in the game that I skimmed.)

I get all that. Storytelling wise, I just have a distaste for the “chosen one” trope.
But I, oddly enough, identify with the Gnomes, their silliness, their anarchic tendencies, and Elmer is a Gnome unto himself.
The only other personality in another game that resonates with me like that are the Charr in GW2.

They are, I have nothing against them or the RP community. I just don’t see myself RP’ing alot. I’m makeing a toon over there so if I get super bored, I can just watch people RP.

Having already revealed the Plot I personally hope that Raven Beak not only has a Backup Clone on another Planet but makes heavy use of his Illusion Powers in Metroid Prime 4.
I want him to be in every room where if you aggravate him by attacking his Illusory “Statues” hiding his presence you can barely fight him off and have a ridiculously small window(you are almost guaranteed to die) for doing so but get an Achievement for success in every instance(and another Achievement for listening to all of his Lore Dumps).
Considering how the X Parasites are similar to Ing which originated from Phazon I want Phazon to just be an X Parasite exposed to the Great Poison from Talon IV(I.E. the Red Phazon-like Material sealed in the Impact Crater) as a result of Raven Beak’s experimentation.
I also want Dark Aether to be a result of most of the X Parasite’s Aeion-based Light(Aeion clearly has a Light theme unlike the Ing) absorbed by Aether leaving a Dark X Parasite merged with the Great Poison to become Dark Aether with only small fragments of Aeion-tainted X Parasite merged with the Great Poison remaining on the planet.
I want the event reproduced by Raven Beak on a random Planet rich with Lore.
I want a reveal that Ridley and Mother Brain’s seeming lack of sapience in the games was all due to the fact that Raven Beak was posing as them during the Manga events and later used Grey Voice’s corpse to create a real Mother Brain(actually just a Central Unit to control Metroids using Grey Voice’s DNA) after the Manga’s events.
I want multiple Phaaze-like Planets created from X Parasites injected with the Great Poison as well as multiple Dark and Light Aether-style Planets!
While I’m at it: I also want Raven Beak absorbed into a Metroid Prime during the ending setting up the next Metroid Prime Game.
I want Metroid Prime 4 to be more ambitious than any Metroid Prime game before!
