Just to let you all know, if you haven’t checked it out, if you go to Classic PTR you can now play the Blood Elves and Draenei, as well as starting with a level 58 of any race.

Just a fun thing to do before TBC launch.

My mom came home today. She had a really bad case of Gurd. The ER trip wasn’t a good one though sadly.

I spend most of the day hanging out with my cousin for the first time in weeks. We found a funny way to enjoy The:Hunter Call of the wild. ATV jousting. The ATV’s are buggy and one of us might flip if we run into each other.

I have been playing my Draneni on the Beta but if they shut that down I would get on the PTR. Nice to know that I will be able to play one until launch day lol.

Is the dark portal event on the PTR?

They haven’t opened the portal up on PTR, but the area before it is open… brain not working this morning.

Blasted Lands… that is ready to go… I remembered.

I need more coffee…

I’m seeing more and more articles popping up about businesses “having a difficult time finding workers”.

Even saw that one story about a McDonald’s offering $50 just to get people to show up to an interview

Can’t really blame people for not wanting to go back to those crappy jobs. If the unemployment pays the same (or more) as some of these McDonald’s style jobs, what’s the point in working?

Just an interesting observation I’ve noticed recently. Now that “covid” is winding down, suddenly there is an alleged “worker shortage”.

Never thought I would see “not enough workers/staff” (of all things) cited as the reason for a business closing/struggling.

Normally there is a glut/abundance of workers, at least in previous economic downturns (more people chasing fewer jobs).

You also hear how you had to sign a document saying you were interviewed?

Cuz they’d offer you a min wage job with bad hours on the spot, if you rejected it they reported you for declining a job and the unemployment benefits were instantly slashed

If a business is offering you something for free, it’s 100% a scam and a way for them to screw you

Good point, I hadn’t considered that angle…

You are right, turning down a job offer (even a crappy McJob) is grounds for losing the UI benefits. So people are just being smart then, it makes sense

The best thing is the places that actually pay a livable wage are all saying how they actually saw an increase in the amount of applications they’ve received

But no, it must be the unemployments fault that no one wants to work, not the fact places pay so little you can’t live off it

Thanks I have had a bit of a rough last day and this helped cheer me up. Seen/heard a lot of anti trans stuff in the last 24 hours.

If it makes you feel any better, you’re pretty safe in assuming that the people posting it are pretty stupid
