I’m a big Godzilla fan. I grew up with Bob Wilkin’s Creature Features and saw all the Kaiju movies from Toho films. So far, I love what Legendary Films has done with Godzilla. Solid background story and, so far, Godzilla is the good guy. Yay!
I agree about the slasher films, but if humor is mixed in I love them. A kind of silly, not serious, but also serious, scary, but also not scary, kind of slasher films.
My favorite kind of horror is supernatural. Ghosts, possessions (if they are done right), etc.
Like the movie, The Ring. I loved that one!

I haven’t, but I just looked it up. Looks intriguing.
I haven’t watched many movies in the last few years, so a bit out of touch with current ones except the latest Godzilla, King of the Monsters. I had to see that one because, Godzilla. 
EDIT: Oh, that one looks great! I was looking at the 2017 remake and looked a bit meh. Looks like the 1981 version is better.

Oh, also in an earlier post I said I’m not a fan of horror movies. Meant not a fan of “slasher” films. I do like horror movies of the type I listed.
Those Christmas ones look like fun though as they don’t take themselves so serious with it.
