Yippie that was fun!
Loved the opening ceremony, the wow cinematic, Diablo 4, Diablo 2, TBC, even hearthstone looked appealing for me. oh and the old time games! And so much more!
Metallica finishing the open ceremony was the cherry on top, that and no phone games 🥲

HOORAY! Sometimes, all it takes is a bit of talking. Doing TW on Huggy and I notice the tank is a bit hesitant. The tank, healer, and hunter are all from the same realm.
I explain the fight and we beat him. I take a ‘leadership role’ and lead theough the remainder of the dungeon. We queue for a 2nd and have a blast.
Now I have new friends!

While I understand why you’re upset, I have to second my delicious looking friend; haste makes waste.
While I think, personally, the idea of a Sylvanas redemption is too contrived based on how they did her in BFA (for the most part), I feel Blizz has laid down enough significant groundwork through actual visual storytelling to make it a great deal more reasonable.
Personally, through the way they’ve portrayed some of Sylvanas’ reactions, I feel she had a strong case of buyer’s remorse and she will be redeemed through the process of the actual merging of both her Banshee Queen personality and her High Ranger General personality.
Hell, I’d be surprised if, somehow, she didn’t ascend to fill the role of Archon or even a nee Jailer, albiet a less vengeful and more just and impartial Jailer as a true opposite though equal partner to the Arbiter herself.
Remember, Sylvanas know how terrible it is to be turned against one’s will into something that is anathema to one’s original being. And the Jailer has done so to Anduin. She’s no dummy. She knows she’s done wrong and been wronged. She must know she must atone for what she is truly responsible for but is not 100% entirely at fault.
While I don’t believe she can go back to Azeroth, I do believe she can be truly redeemed and, my guess is, so does Blizzard.
I won’t say you’re wrong to be upset, but I’d also caution against leaning too much into your initial feelings. If Blizzard has done nothing else this expansion, they have demonstrated they can write a compelling story with multi-faceted characters. So be wary, but don’t lose faith.

I really enjoyed Blizzcon, all the extra panels, as I usually do. I’m excited about all the stuff they showed off. The voice panels were great as always and I enjoyed the little background stuff, such as the look at the Wandering Ancient Mount.
The Hearthstone core set stuff is really great. Excited for the new game mode.
Patiently waiting on Overwatch 2 to officially release, whenever that will be. But seeing behind the scenes stuff and a look at the future was nice.
Diablo 2 Remastered is cool. Diablo 4 is looking good. 
OH and the arcade classics is fun. They added Power of The Horde to the Rock N Roll Racing Soundtrack in the definitive edition and that’s pretty neat. A cute little addition to a polished version of an old game.

The way they hinted around a bit, I think that you are right, she isn’t going to be strictly a raid boss. I am not sure what the plans are for her, but it doesn’t feel like it is going to end with her death.
Perhaps the raid will lead us all to finding out what the whole reason is behind her actions. She is definitely doing things for a reason. I am looking forward to finding out why.
I am not going to lose my trust that Sylvanas has a plan just yet.

For one I’m glad to see Sylvanas be a raid boss cause from my point of view she is evil.
Teldrissal was my very first home and is where I have very fond memories till she came with the Horde and put genocide on their name. I remember looking up one last time in Darn. as it was engulfed in flame. Epic but no honor was to be had by anyone that day.

There is a Q&A latter today that’s part of BlizzCon part 2. I’ll post it for you, but remember body language is just as important as dialogue. It looked like Sylvanas had a disapproval of the method being used. My blood elf dk follows her, she still wishes to save her sister in arms from the darkness shes in.

Exactly, and that’s where Blizzard is really excelling (so far) in this expansion: the visual storytelling. Another great example of this is the softening of the Winter Queen’s face when she ressurects Ysera. That visual struck me so hard.
With Sylvanas, I thought maybe they were playing a bit too hard, but with this new cinematic, it’s hard to say but given her background, I’d imagine she hates what’s been done to Anduin because it was precisely the same thing that was inflicted upon her.
In a way, it’s quite poetic irony. Sylvanas, playing a key role in inflicting upon Anduin what was inflicted upon her. Is her regret borne of what she thinks the Jailer may do to her? Is it genuine regret? Does she realize imprisonment for one’s sins without the chance of forgiveness and release is wrong and does she recognize rhe same absolutist bitterness in the Jailer she, herself, harbors towards others, causing her to reflect inward?
If Blizzard can follow through with a rational redemption story for Sylvanas that doesn’t rely on her becoming a pure super hero, I’ll be truly happy.
