Yeah, actually I don’t get that point about M+, Raid that scale based on the group size and Torghast that was designed from 1 to 5 players haha
Also, I think the meta could use layer 4 as requirement but the layer 8 doesn´t have any merit because the requirement doesn’t have any set of rules and there’s too many parameters to achieve it, due to the amount of combinations regarding classes, spec, covenant, anima powers, party size.
If players want some merit, there should be like Steam achievements that have a set of rules, like do layer 8 with X ilvl and X class without being in group, that’s the problem with this kind of game on which you’ve so many parameters compared to a solo game on which all players will have the same character to achieve those goals.
For all the classes, I have either read from people claiming they soloed JG layer 8 either on here or came across a vid that showed them doing it. So if you want to take their word for it at least for the former all classes can complete it solo. However there is too big of a discrepancy difficulty wise because of the anima powers between the best and weakest classes. That why some classes finished it on week one of 9.2 at a lower item level.
The only ones I’ve personally seen are the ones I mentioned before, Hunter (guildie did it), Brewmaster Monk (A community member did it) and Warlock (Demo is just insane in Torghast). I assume resto shaman would have no trouble as well, they’re probably the most broken torghast spec by far lol.
I finished my Tower Ranger and Veilstrider this morning.
(for the record, Maizou isn’t my torghast toon, she was like halfway through the box when I did this lol. Which is why she got the flawless 12 achievement too. But the affixes for Coldheart are horrible for warlock, my toon with the box complete, today so hunter it was.)
Still haven’t done Gauntlet 5+, and doubtful I will without any actual reward in it.
It wasnt nerfed it had to be redone because things didnt exist anymore this is not the same this is a straight up nerf and disservice to those who got layer eight
Havoc is one of the harder ones by far, doable, but needlessly difficult. I ended up swapping out my worthless 4pc for rank 4 dom frost set pieces to complete it prior to the most recent patch.
For real! I was suggested a vid while browsing of a havoc DH finishing it. On my runs, I took an unorthodox approach as well choosing triune for my leggo and focusing on shield absorption while tanking for my fragile mirror images to do damage for me. Those were only a fraction of the parts in terms of anima powers as a fire mage though to get by.
