Well, unfortunately, that’s where the story is headed. The Faction war is over and has been over for a bit now. It’s one conjoined story on a track of being guardians of azeroth and they aren’t going to change anytime soon unless Blizz adds a different faction you can align yourself with.

Conjoined story = Generally Alliance-leaning, since most ‘neutral’ NPCs are of Alliance races.
Neutral Horde races, are kinda rare.
Compare to how many neutral humans there are.

I sense Thrall was supposed to be there. again. 
I don’t remember Thrall having that much of a presence in Cataclysm outside of an introduction quest and them him in Dragon Soul. Did it just seem exaggerated because of end-of-expansion doldrums?
Edit: Oh and his wedding but I thought nobody really liked that.
