Glorious Gays of Goldshire
A newly formed, highly adaptable semi-hardcore PvE Guild is recruiting our core raid team to take us through to the end of Classic over the next 12 months.
Guild Objectives
- To clear raid content in an efficient and timely manner (Top 5% in speed)
- Clear Naxx effortlessly in opening week
- Have a great playing community and a sense of comradery
- Easy alternative to the current semi-hardcore PvE guilds on Argual
- To have a not-so-serious attitude to the game outside of raiding. That includes taking yourself and others lightly (this is not an ego trip guild for Zoomer’s who rate their personal sense of achievement on a parse log)
- Zero tolerance to bullying and harassing members in or out of the guild
- Do split runs with alts maximising loot and raiding opportunities
Guild Structure
Loot
Going into AQ40 and continuing BWL, we will use a soft reserve system with some hard reserved items for tanks or unlucky members.
This soft / hard reserve system is allocated by the Tribunal based on the below criteria.
- Recent receival of loot and items
- Player contribution to guild (assisting other members with summons, professions, class specific assistance, helping alts farm gear, or anything else you believe will perpetuate the success of the guild and its members)
- Player skill and execution of raid assignments and tasks
- Being a sociable active member
Raid Structure and Roster
We will always prioritise high quality gamers and light hearted skillful players over aggressive min-maxers. Our objective is clearing content quickly and efficiently, we are not going for NA Rank number 1 guild.
The guild will only ever have one raid team consisting of 45 players, of course sometimes you need to go on holidays, take a night off or be benched for one of eight weeks.
There is no desire to have a bloated management structure of class leaders, senior raiders, raiders, trial raiders, casual raiders, etc.

Guild Leadership
Guild Leadership is made up of a tribunal system and there is no formal GM.
We believe in effective, streamline, and interpersonal guild management of a small team of experienced officers with divided responsibilities, as combined decision making is best.
This is made up of three roles.
Guild Strategy - Raid strategy and innovation, loot strategy and allocation, player strategy and specification, assists raid leader.
Guild Community - Manages discord, manages ranks and trials, manages meetings and community events, manages Gbank and guild resources.
Raid Leader & Admin - Leads and organises raids and buffs, reviews logs and provides raiders feedback, assists in the administration of spreadsheets and assignments, combat leader for World bosses and PVP.
Our Experience
We first started on Shadowmoon (H) way back in 2004 (and still in highschool), before moving to the now ancient first OCE server Barthilas, clearing all vanilla content through to Naxx. Playing again on Elysium onto Lightshope and Lightbringer, again clearing all content. I raided with NA guild Rise, which I am still an active raider in today on Netherwind.
Rise holds the record for fastest guild to clear 9/9 AQ 40 and fastest to kill C’thun in just 29 minutes. Although our objective is not to live in their shadow, or compete for these achievements - Gays of Goldshire will always work towards developing the most innovative and progressive raid strategies. You can trust and expect a skillful, well choreographed and timely raid clear wink.
I have already completed, likely twice, by the time you are reading this AQ40 in the current 1.13 client and am well versed in streamline raid strategy. I will be actively practicing Naxx on a private test realm before its release.

What to expect from us
We know you are almost certainly in another guild on Arugal, and we know that reaching out and wanting to leave your current guild is difficult. All applications are handled privately and in confidence, so if you decide not to join (or we decide not to invite you) you can resume your current game uninterrupted.
We are not trying to poach individuals or be sneaky, this is purely to protect and respect your future gaming experience. We are simply trying to create a community of like minded individuals that want to share in the experience of end game content.
If there is an issue or grievance, you will be listened to with honesty and integrity and it will be resolved. Sending us screenshots of some pathetic conversation after you threw mud isn’t going to fly well.
You should also expect honesty and transparency from our raiding assignments, loot allocation and future goals and achievements of Gays of Goldshire. We’re all human and we’re going to treat you that way.
What we expect of you
- Level 60 character with the minimum pre raid BIS fully enchanted
- A level 60 alt OR at least a 20 warlock summoner OR other valuable utility alt like a Horde character.
- Discord and a working microphone and a basic level of sociability with other raiders.
- Don’t take yourself too seriously. We all have an ego, but you need to be fallible
- Spending off-time to invest in the guild and it’s members. When we all work as a team for a common goal, great things can be achieved.
- Being available to raid Wednesday & Thursday 7.30pm - 11.00.ST. MC and 20 mans TBD
- We also expect you to have a life outside of WoW. We do understand having friends who don’t play WoW, partners, pets, annoying little sh!t kids and a job is realistic.
