Fun detected and all
Dayum no fun allowed
They need to hotfix it to be disabled at 70. Not brick it at 61. I’d bet alot of us don’t have anything but that as a 2h on unleveled alts.
Also seeing the dagger is hotfixed too. I’d wager jaithys is changed too.
They could have at least let them go to 65 like the Legion legendaries.
Good riddance hate that thing so much. Glad its gone for good.
It was great having it still do 20% of my damage as Fury at level 70 actually. Helped solo quite a few mobs a 329 shouldn’t be able to solo.
That mace was stupid in the first place. Like, yeah its cool to be excited for a weapon, but not to the extent that a %%%%ing bear who doesn’t even use primary stat wants it. Awful design.
Nothing should be doing as much as gavel was. It was even so strong that it was gping to continually be used for far to long into df.
Bears were using it instead of an agi weapon. Nothing should ever have that kind of power in it. Horrible weapon design.
It wasn’t that great as a main hand.
Pretty much the only remaining “issue” was Fury making it last as an off-hand.
It was used as bis for bear in raid and m+. That is a massive problem and shows how rediculous it was.
Or how blizz can’t add class requirements to weapons anymore.
But yeah go ahead and blame the weapon.
Ok how about this what other weapons have been soo strong within modern wow where other classes that dont even gain stats from it consider it to be bis.
Didnt have this problem with the agi weapon or the int weapon from rygelon.
This hasnt been a problem, and now it is for gavel.
Cmon man people were even planning on using it for a while into this expansion as a bis item.
The item was rediculous with how strong it was as compared to other weapons with extra abilities to them.
Here are the easy solutions:
- add class restrictions to gear you don’t want to leak outside of intended classes
- add level disable triggers at new max level to incentivize gear turnover and not have perpetually bis gear
If someone wants to sit at 69 with gavel let them do it. They can’t enter heroics, mythics, rated pvp, or raid to get 70 gear. So they have to make the choice if they want to have the fun item or actually play the game.
But it wasn’t in DF anymore.
Even for Strength classes, ilvl overtook it for Main hand use. Leaving Fury with it as Off Hand is, Off-hand dps is much less important.
That first bit shouldnt even bee needed. They just need to not add rediculous items into the game that add thousands upon thousands worth of dps.
Im saying that a weapon that is so strong that it bleeds over into another class is horrible design. That weapon added in a dungon around 5 to 7k dps along with the possibility of healing or shielding on top of that.
That’s your opinion. It was fun to use it and not be bogged down with a facsimile rotation to s2/SoD but just add +x% difference.
Gavel while pretty basic made ret this year more enjoyable.
Im just saying things that strong should never exist. If the dmg of it was about halved or so it would have been alot more balanced.
Plus this just hasnt been a problem in modern wow. Only other weapon that was rediculous was asharas staff in bfa, but even then people still werent going so crazy as too use it for other specs.
Well guess we know who the Grinch who stole Gavel was.
I was so happy to get rid of that thing. It’s strong but it was annoying to use.
