gathering profs are screwed on gaining acuity.
Yup, a lot of problems with professions that Blizzard is ignoring compared to DF
Eh, my two double gatherers are getting the last of there tools this week. There were a recraft or two thrown in so it could have been earlier. Contrary to the rest of the army I will go for the books afterward instead of the secondary profession tools. Quite fine with there rate of acquisition really.
I can understand why it didnt the first week it rolled around, but Darkmoon faire really should give acuity from the quests
i dont see how.
i’ve maxxed points every week since release and only just made 2nd item.
i dont believe you.
Even got 2 prof bags each and they got all 6 tools/accessories. Like I said, haven’t gotten a single book or fisherfriend/cooking ones, but the slots are filled now And there was no shuffle shenanigans!
It is now 15 weeks since we could start gaining Artisan’s Acuity.
The gathering profession weekly drops net 40 AA per profession, or 80 for dual gatherers.
The weekly gathering quest provides another 10 AA per profession, 20 for DGs.
15 weeks at 100 per week is 1,500. That’s five tools.
The weekly Inscription Treatises provide 5 per profession, 10 for both, is another 150 AA for 1650.
Mining and Herbalism have first mine/harvest points that provide another 100 AA each. There is 1850 AA. Enough for your sixth tool with some left over.
I also know there are other sources available as I am gathering Mining catch-up items despite never missing a week.
As Kaladnei said, it is quite possible to have all six profession tools by now for dual gatherers if you were willing to skip the books and other potential drains. All a question of priorities.
Gathering is intended to be a slower acquisition rate than Crafting because they have less uses for it. If you want to argue it is too slow, recommend providing a weekly or monthly layout of what you think is more reasonable using real numbers.
Thanks for the maths Solaria!
There was also the initial quest for professions that provide with a starting 350 AA.
