It seems in Tracking options, you can only track 1 item at a time. Say you are mining and herbalist. Tracker only allows you to track 1 item. Why would this be? Can you please check on this. It didnt seem to be any specific area, however I was in and around Stormwind. Thankyou
This is how it always was in vanilla, which I’m assuming classic or Tbcc is what you are referring to? As a result, it isn’t always beneficial to take herb/mine at the same time if you didn’t want to switch back and forth. It’s not a bug, though.

I’m have an actual gathering bug. I started my profession in shadowlands mining on my paly and went through two zones without finding a single node. I then picked up herbalism with better hopes, and found 1 node for every 20 herbalism nodes. I think that they may have broke the profession for new miners in a nerf. Just to give show the severity of the problem my herbalism is now in its 106 while my mining stands at 5. Imagine wanting to go mining/blacksmithing…
Your issue is pretty different from the OP, as it refers to Shadowlands vs. TBC Classic and may not be about tracking. I’d say to start a new thread, but I don’t know if this is a bug. Have you ensured the nodes are tracking in the mini map (“Find Minerals”)? Are you using any addons for gathering that may be interfering? Are you going to areas that are more ore-heavy or sticking to the roads where mostly herbs are located? Possibly someone is farming them ahead of you and they are despawning?
Maybe try some of these routes listed under the ore farming and see if more show up for you?
