How is it that people know when a node has reappeared? During the busier server times, I noticed that whenever a node reappears, within seconds, a player comes out of nowhere and gets it. Is there a mod they are using?
I call it my eyes and looking at the mini-map. I suspect you are adding a bit to this.
I use a mod called Gathermate, that remembers where I’ve found nodes before. It doesn’t alert me or anything if a node re-appears, though.
Some things only have so many spawns, black lotus ( the 100g flower ) and rich thorium deposits, only spawn in certain places, so yes, some people are looking for it.
We track it on the minimap.
You should try it.
There’s a super easy trick to know exactly where and when these are going to spawn. Can’t believe no one has told you how to do it yet.
He’s making that up. For random nodes (not Black Lotus) there is no way to know.
That just means there are A LOT OF gatherers on your server. There are so many players out looking that one of them is near a newly spawned node.
In retail BFA, I was a gatherer for a while. Often, there were lots of other gatherers. Often, I saw a node spawn, since I was looking.
Classic doesn’t have multi-pick like BFA, so whoever gets there first gets the node.
Dang I totally forgot multi pick was a thing
Another reason I love classic way more
Here is how it is done and I have verified:
Ghosts
There are ghosts logged in 247 before/after to where nodes spawn. When a spawn occurs, a character logs in that was waiting, gathers it, then logs out.
