Newbie here. Are there benefits to using war mode when gathering? I have had a lot of IDKs and one or two people say it is somewhat beneficial but they weren’t able to say how so.
You kill the gatherer to get honor points and get the gatherings. Win/win =D
There are some war mode talents that might be useful for gathering (Ex. Malorne’s Swiftness, which increases in-combat Travel Form’s speed by 20%, can exceed 200% movespeed, if you have enough things that boost movement speed).
Do consider that you may need to put up with players randomly attacking you, though, which may throw a wrench in your plans to use war mode for gathering.
Warmode provides a % bump to xp from kills and quests, and gold/currency from world quests and the intrinsic satisfaction of killing people whenever the mood strikes you. And that’s it.
While you can use your pvp talents in warmode and that may or may not help your gathering, warmode doesn’t increase the amount of stuff you gather.
