Garrosh update?

Has there been any word about him? Or was the animated short just a tease?

Bring back Hellscream. The Horde needs it’s true Warchief back.

He was a bad Warchief, too. We can’t be trusted with Warchiefs, the council is the better option since the story showed the Horde can’t be left to one person.

Hope you need an anima battery because that’s all he’s worth now.

The council is worthless.
We need Thrall back.

Thrall thought it was a good idea to put Garrosh in charge, cried about Doomhammer, and thought Sylvanas was fine being in charge of the Horde because he no longer cared about its well being.

He was a good Warchief. The story has done him horrible.

I look forward to seeing him again.
Garrosh, our mighty warchief makes us proud.

At least he took care of the Horde and took what we needed, the others would have preferred to suck on the Alliance.

looks over at the Alliance with narrowed eyes.

Can we farm him for anima ?

He took care of part of the Horde but ignored others when they were in trouble, like when Thunderbluff was attacked by the Grimtotem. He also knew nothing about the Grimtotem or the politics behind them and the Bloodhooves and allowed Magatha of all people to “bless his weapon” before the Mok’gora against Cairne. He knew nothing about anything that wasn’t an Orc and just expected everyone to fall in line.

He might’ve been a decent general, but he was a crap leader.

I can’t even call that a council, it’s Human and Pets the faction. The Night Elves are such wasted potential over there…

How it ends with Cairne was such a waste and bad writing.
Who would have thought Garrosh’s weapon was accidentally poisoned?
Ultimately he apologized to Baine, he was sorry and he even wanted Magatha’s head, but Baine didn’t want that and instead Garrosh wrote a letter to Magatha.

Perhaps it was too early to make him warchief, but if Thrall’s advisors had assured him they would support him, things would be very different again. You don’t have to like the decision or like him, Cairne and Vol’jin should have been by Garrosh’s side and support him, but they didn’t!

The truth. :slightly_frowning_face:.

I think more than anything, him not knowing about the Grimtotem and their rivalries with the Bloodhooves is exactly why he wasn’t prepared to lead the Horde. Being the ambassador/leader of the Orcs, yes. But he wasn’t ready to deal with the politics of the other races, and Thrall’s decision put him in a place where Cairne’s life was lost because of it. Yes, that was also really bad writing (and the fact he didn’t even get an in game cutscene and died in a BOOK, but…that’s neither here nor there), but it also showed that Garrosh had no idea that allowing someone like Magatha to bless his weapon would likely have a nefarious reasoning for doing so.

Cairne challenged Garrosh as was his right to Mak’gora, and that was taken from him. Cairne was a peace keeper, and that got in Garrosh’s way of war, which is why he stood up to him. And at least he did, even if his whole story was absolutely butchered.

Then Garrosh’s stuff with Vol’in was bad as well, given he isolated the Trolls on the Echo Isles and treated them like prisoners. And again, not helping Thunderbluff when the Grimtotem attacked. He wasn’t ready to be the leader of various races with different creeds and beliefs.

As leader of the Orcs, yes. But it was clear Thrall never taught him diplomacy or how to handle races that don’t have the same customs as Orcs, and that was what made him a bad Warchief.

He let Magatha Grimtotem, of all people, bless his weapon. That alone is wrong.

The rest can be argued, sure. But allowing that witch of a character anywhere near anything to do with Cairne was both bad writing for Garrosh, and in lore a bad decision for him to make.

Regardless of the reason, he killed my favorite character. That will always put him in the wrong for me.

He’s in the maw now. Was deemed irredeemable in revendreath and sent to be the jailers b#$%^

Whatever else you can say about Garrosh, it was the last time that the faction war actually made any sense, with hardcases like Varian Wrynn and Garrosh Hellscream in charge.
