I know for a fact that 94% of the playerbase cried during his final cutscene

I skipped the final cut scene.
I must be in the 6% that was like “Did he just die killing something with 0 HPs? That is the most retarded waste of a Blizzard character ever!”
I will definitely say he had a good final cutscene - he died as he lived.
Arthas and Garrrosh represented the Best of Blizzard. Both were done dirty
That blue ball wasn’t Arthas…it was Blizzard who just got faded away
Well yea, the final cutscene is the jailer one
You didn’t skip Garrosh cutscene at all and wept tears of sorrow everytime you had to watch it
I don’t know about crying, more like laughing hysterically on how badly they handled the cinematic.
I didn’t cry during his cut-scene. I cried because they wasted his possible redemption in WoD and killed him off there.
He should have survived, and if he died, he should have died during Legion on the Broken Shore telling Sylvanas and Volj’in to stuff it:
“Have you forgotten what it means to be Horde? There is a battle here, and we will fight it. I will not run before the Alliance dogs do. We are the HORDE, and we fight on until VICTORY OR DEATH! Flee and live a coward’s life if you must, but I will fight on. LOK’TAR OGAR!”
That would have been as awesome a way to send the character out as Varian.
Was great considering they had 0 budget for it and a lone guy was like
I SHALL BEAR THIS BURDEN
And gave us a proper send off instead of the alliance loving game designers leaving him with nothing
He wasnt slowly roasted over a hot fire so I didnt find the scene moving.
Please let him murder Tyrande and Turalyon before goes to Zug Zug heaven? ![]()
EDIT: Oh and let’s not forget Baine.
Worry not my OK night elf friend
We shall murder them all
garrosh was the best villain (he was right we were wrong)
Can we swap out Turalyon there for Malfurion so that Queen Azshara comes back and takes over the Night Elves?
We can always have Turalyon summon Yrel and the Draenor Crusade and then disappear into the shadows as a simp for Yrel and let Her take over the Army of the Light.
Why not both? ![]()
He was a whiny man baby the player character had to cheer up during Burning Crusade.
He was an irresponsible raging jerk in Wrath and Cataclysm.
He went literal full genocide in MoP and you never go full genocide.
Then he died just like he began, as a whiny man baby in nagrand.
I skipped his cutscene in SoD as much as possible because I hated helping him there. I’m glad he’s gone.
It’s alright my friend
We all have to cope somehow, even if it involves lying
Virgin Arthas became 35 Anima while chad Garrosh go with a bang.
I mean I liked his Cata era writing but then they decided that was incorrect and the better writing was to make him awful and ruin a Horde character which they continue doing to this day
Cried? No. But satisfied with the closure. He went out his way.
In regards to his overall story… I thought it was great.
Seeing him grow from a weak leader living in shame because of his father…
…becoming a powerful warlord in Northrend and showing his enemy no quarter…
…taking on the mantle of Warchief of the Horde and having the conviction to lead the way he wanted…
…and then his decent into madness as he tried to harness the remnant power of the Old Gods in the Sha…
…escaping justice and changing the course of history by pushing the first domino that lead to the Iron Horde in an alternate timeline…
…then finally coming to a reckoning with the Orc who started him on this journey. Thrall lifted Garrosh up as quivering pup from the grasslands of Nagrand, steeled his heart and gave him the tools to be the strong Orc he became… and then came full circle as they clashed in Nagrand and Thrall delivered the justice that the denizens of Azeroth so richly deserved.
Even in death Garrosh had one last paragraph in the story… his hatred fueled the Jailer’s machinery until he could break free and end his tortured existence on his terms.
As someone who started playing TBC and followed him from his beginning… Garrosh, for better or worse, will have a place in my heart.
