Does anyone do Garrison stuff? If so, why? Can you make money? Is Blizz adding stuff I may have missed over the years? Toys?
no on the money
I still use it for the Blacksmith 4 hr no armor decay buff and a private bank/Ah and extra hearthstone, pet battles, but thats about it.

There’s a lot to do with the garrisons, I mostly use it for pet battle stuff but it’s also nice for the portals it provides. It has lots of rewards but nothing too relevant anymore besides pets/mounts/achievements

I wish we could see our alts wandering around our garrisons like the new login screen when Warbands is put in

If I find myself passing through my garrison for any reason, I feel obliged to check the mission tables.
There’s nothing left that I need to collect there. I don’t know if any garrison mats still sell - I was never into that even when the bags were still good.
I sometimes use them to top up my goblin gliders (I don’t use them often but every now and then I still absent-mindedly walk off a cliff; my self-preservation reflex time is actually starting to get better since standardizing where I keep them on each character’s action bars)

I used it alot to get my heirloom rings last year. WAs very tedious, YOu can also get the BMAH in your garrison and thats very useful, IF you didnt use the turtle mounts you can catch them and resell them, Due to trading post giving you a turtle mount I now wish I did this as an indefinite cash cow but too late for my account.

I use it as an extra hearthstone to get to Org. I also use the AH sometimes.

Yep. You can easily get 3 hearthstones. Dalaran, Garrison, and the standard one.
I used to level all my toons through WOD, but am now thinking Legion so I can do the Class Halls.

I use the Trading Post to trade resources for crafting materials. True iron ore, Sumptuous Fur, and Raw Beast Hide can come in stacks of 1000 for the Auction House. My stacks are worth approx 2300 gold right now.
Resources are easy to earn with a full baracks you get 25 followers for the mission tables . So I consider that close to passive income. Not much work equals nice profits for me.

Useful if you have the AH and bank, another hearth location is great as well. I am still working on collecting invasion mounts so there is that.
The fishing area is good too for mounts and pets, if you can get the murloc to drop the dang coin.
A Leel 3 garrison with tavern is also a nice place to RP with friends without having to worry about people walking through or griefing.

It’s housing and an extra hearthstone.
I wouldn’t say it’s a big money-maker anymore, given the costs of upgrading the buildings, etc.
But, yes, I do have a fully upgraded Garrison on 100% of my guys, even the ones created within the last year.
And if you are patient, yes, the Garrison Mission Table will be a net gold positive, over time. The Garrison also provides resources for free, which yes, you can sell.
Assuming you are doing the Garrison, make sure to do the Shipyard, and then eventually you will get the BMAH checker (madame something I forgot her name)

It’s a decent tertiary hearth stone for when I’m really all over the map. Some interesting transmogs are locked behind it, and a pile of mounts.
The ashran pvp titles too, which are frankly some of my favorites.

I like leveling at the garrison for the free gold (AH selling ore and herbs collected at the garrison), making potions at the alchemist building (using gathered garrison herbs), and making goblin gliders at the engineering building (using ores mined at the garrison) without having those professions on my character. I do missions at the table for the garrison resources to buy other mats from the garrison trader to sell at AH. It’s not a lot of gold to be made, but it’s free easy gold which takes me 10-15 minutes each day…

What you can do with the tables are:
Ogre Garrison Caches sell for roughly 10000 gold
Garrison supplies to fish sell for 2gold each.
And there are a few other moderate selling items.
Nothing huge, but its an easy thing to pop by and do, but don’t get to preoccupied with it over what you want to do.

I have the Auction. I use the training dummies. The pet battling area is great. Mostly I like the privacy.

There’s still a market for goblin gliders. I still have mine because I have over 600 salvage crates (pre-nerf) that I’ve never opened. I open a stack every now and then to see if there’s something in there worth selling for xmog. I’ve gotten a few things that have been removed from game, according to ATT, and should be worth millions.
