Is there some reason the Hallow’s End Garrison Quests and goodies require a level 3 garrison? That the pet dungeons require lvl 120?
My sole reason to be interested in the Garrison at this point is as a great place to level battle pets. You can’t spawn the Hallow’s End quest NPC (so can’t get the reward that adds pets to the Garrison), unless it’s level 3.
I want to level alts while leveling battle pets. Bump the garrison quests down to Garrison level 2? Please? (my alt doesn’t have the resources to build level 3 on opposite faction, and won’t during the duration of Hallow’s End? (so will need to wait another year to add them?)) No, joining a friend’s garrison really isn’t the answer, since you can only be in there while in party… Perhaps just make it so you can enter your other char’s garrisons?
Pet dungeons are based on pet collection, not the trainer’s level, so why does the trainer need to be 120? Bump that down to like 90? Please?
Please eliminate unnecessary gating that is irrelevant to pet battles!
You need lv 3 garrison to get the pet menagerie. You do get a lv 25 pet stone for completing a small quest line after getting the menagerie. So, there’s no way to do pet battles in lv 2 garrison, unfortunately, as they’d have to change how the garrison works and they’re not going to do that for old content.
The initial quest to open the dungeons was in the hub of the expansion in which it was introduced - so new Dalaran or BfA ones. So I think that is why the required levels are so high for that quest. Pet dailies are shared across characters. Have you tried getting the daily on higher character and then just having alts complete it?
Not really. You don’t need the pet menagerie. At best, you need the NPC to heal your pets occasionally – which spawns at lvl 2. There are a few pets in the garrison at level 2, so it doesn’t follow that there’s “no way to do pet battles in lvl 2 garrison”. It’s just a question of how many spawns and of what type are present to sustain quick grinding.
I don’t think the expansion in which a feature was launched demands the max level for that expansion either.
What I suggest gives you a reason to not ignore the garrison, which is basically useless now and is kinda sad.
You already missed super squirt (level a pet to 25 in 2 battles). It won’t be back for some time. Of course posting about the easy leveling in garrisons is a sure fire way to get it nerfed (into the ground). Thanks.
Irrelevant comment? There is no connection between the menagerie and a Hallow’s End decoration. You don’t need the pet area open, you just need the Hallow’s End decoration. Why should decorations, whether they are related to pets or not, demand a level 3 garrison?
Oh, and if the Garrison was going to get nerfed, they would have nerfed Legion invasions first years ago.

Answer: Sorry, I’m asking why you need a level 3 garrison to get the Hallow’s End decoration. There’s no correlation between battling in garrison and level 3 garrison (disproved). Also, the menagerie is irrelevant to the Hallow’s End NPC spawn conditions. Why do we need a level 3 garrison to pet the Hallow’s end decoration for battle pets?

Hmm, are you understanding the question? “You need the level 3 garrison because you need the level 3 garrison because we all did it” doesn’t show much strength in reasoning.
Also, I have 7 level 3 garrisons and just won’t have one Alliance side before Hallow’s End is over, as I stated.
I should have asked earlier. Do you not have any gold? You can buy huge ogre cache on AH for resources or open garrison cache every day until you get 2k resources.
Whatever. That is the bar blizzard set. Tough. Getting tired of all the whining like three years old who can’t get their way.
And for the record I have nine horde at level 3.
I’m questioning why the “bar was set” where it was. There’s really no good reason, which is why it’s interesting to discuss.
If it’s not interesting to you, why respond? Really the issue is the decorations are available for a limited time a year, and not enough garrison resources are going to be generated to build a lvl 3 in that time period… is that clearer?
I certainly don’t have the gold someone with 50 lvl 120 chars would have, but I have more than enough to pay if it was just gold…
Ah sorry I misunderstood what you were looking for. I read that you wanted to use garrisons to level pets so I figured you wanted access to the daily pet battle in the menagerie and the traveling trainer that visits, my bad. I didn’t remember the Hallow’s End had pets - spider, rat, and something else I think. Do they give that much pet xp? I usually run Pandaria Books of Fable dailies and hit the 4 elementals when I level pets so it’s been awhile since I did pet stuff in my garrison. Most of my alts have lv 3 garrison just for the lv 25 stone but, as you said, depends on if I have gold to give to them on that server/faction lol
I think the reason for the lv 3 garrisons is because they introduced the Halloween stuff during WoD (not sure when Xmas stuff was added, maybe during WoD as well?) and it was just a perk for leveling it up completely.
Never hurts to ask for changes. I just don’t know if this would be a priority for them to do. Good luck!
