I have killed around 500 of these things. Wowhead claims it has an 8.5% drop chance. I’ve not gotten a single schematic to drop yet. Do you guys think maybe the drop tables are broken?
I have engineering maxed. I have Northrend Engineering maxed. In fact, the only engineerings I don’t have maxed are shadowlands and draenor.

Guys I’m an idiot. I didn’t have Outlands ENgineering. Got it first kill. This uh… I wasted 8 hours on this… Thank you guys for the help!
Are you killing the correct enemies? There are lookalikes RIGHT next to them that dont’ drop it.
You’re super duper certain that you’ve learned Outland Engineering, right?
Honestly I thought outland fell under classic engineering. I’ll go find it and try again.
Outland Engineering is its own category, yeah. I forget to pick up Outland/Northrend on pretty much every alt I make, and looking at WoWhead it sounds like that’s the most common issue folks run into with that recipe.
