Gaming mouse

What’s the best and more importantly, the most durable gaming mouse???

Can’t say what’s best, but I’ve had great longevity and performance out of my Logitech G502. Doesn’t have a ton of buttons, if that’s what you like, but here are other options.

Do you like claw or palm grip? Do you have large or small hands? Prefer lots of thumb buttons, or do you like RGB?

Wired or wireless?

Right now I have a Razor with 12 thumb buttons…I only use 3 of them. Its lasted for years but it double clicks sometimes, its so annoying, I know its normal and you just got to clean it out. But it still drives me crazy…lol

I’d skip any of the ones with the thumbpad buttons if that’s your habits to only use 3.

Logitech G502 has 3 thumb and 2 extra index finger buttons, all programmable, and adjustable weights. You can get it wired or wireless, and they also offer a special wireless charging pad.

It also has a more claw-like grip unless you have very small hands. I prefer claw-grip over the palm grip, but that’s me.

Look up some mouse reviews to see what kind you might like.

I just got a new cosair mmo mouse for about 80 bucks , called scimitar. I needed one for a new laptop an a search returned that it was rated #1 mmo mouse by one of the PC magazines.

Its good but i still am a fan of my razer naga elite which was over 100 bucks when i bought it about 7 years ago, my favorite mouse to this day.

(The razer is my desktop mouse btw)

Mouse for WoW eh? Logitech G600. The damn thing was practically designed for WoW.

Stay away from the Razer Naga Trinity. Mine developed double-clicks and sensor issues after 3 months.

Thanks…I think I’m definitely sold on this one!!!

Logitech is by far the best most well made mouse i have ever owned in my entire life.

BUT for wow i got a renewed razer naga from amazon and it works amazing.

Very clean no defects or issues with sensors, Was around 60-70 bucks. Well worth it…if it breaks ill just buy another renewed one lol.

Generally most mice use the same switches so they last about the same. I use a G502 (2nd one since first got the double click issue) I’m just over a year into using it and it’s starting to have another issue as well.

That said I do have a brand new g502 sitting in a box ready to replace it. :see_no_evil: plus they go on sale frequently so just wait till it’s on sale.

This G502 seems like one popular mouse lol

I think I got mine on sale for like $49 or something a couple years ago?

Some of the switches Logitech uses in their pointing devices can do this too. A few years ago I went through around 3 Logitech Trackman Marble Mice because one or both of its primary buttons would double-click and actuate multiple times while being held down.

Aye. I have a 7-8 year old Logitech G500s that I ‘keep alive’ by opening it up and redoing the bent shape on that thin metal pin on the Omron switch to get rid of the double click issue. This was bound to happen as this was my primary Diablo 3 mouse and I used it extensively for that game. I have a stock of D2FC-F-7Ns for backup in case I f*ck things up. Only needed to do this once though, after that, the mouse is functioning like brand new again and is still my favorite non-MMO gaming mouse.

I’m assuming all the major gaming mouse companies today (Logitech, Razer, Corsair, whatever) use the same Chinese-made Omron switches. There’s really no escaping that as it’s the industry standard and all their mice are prone to have switch problems once in a while. But I’m still betting my money that Logitech’s mice are still the most durable compared to the others.

It’s interesting to me that the Chinese keyboard switch companies that have seen a recent meteoric rise (Gateron, Kailh) haven’t dabbled in mouse switches too. They’ve made significant strides in keyboard switch engineering, having well-outstripped the original they cloned (Cherry), so one would think they’d do the same with mouse button switches.

I use a 75% TKL with F1-F12 keys from a relatively unknown Chinese brand called Ajazz. It’s got what’s referred to as ‘Zorro black switches’ and is supposed to be similar to Cherry black. Been using it for a while now and it’s a great black switch keyboard and I like that the keys don’t have a ‘wall’ on the edge of plate making it easier to clean with compressed air on the side. I’d definitely recommend it.

one of my all time favorite mmo mouse that i used was the mad catz mmo 7. All the buttons were in the perfect spot and a lot of customization to boot. Atm I am using a roccat leadr and trying to find a replacement for it. I am not a fan of the numpad style mouse and much prefer button layouts like the mmo7/leadr.

I’m on my 2nd G502 due to holding the left button for look/movement in WoW. I got about the same life on the 1st one as you did, but I still bought a 2nd if that says anything about how much I like it. So far so good!
