Gaming Keypad for Girls

But is it actual Radioshack or Tandy?

naga for wow
mamba for fps

but honestly, i couldnt play wow without my naga.

Ya, i think the hybrid “mecha-membrane” switches are only available on the tartarus V2. But thats the one you probly want anyway.

Of course! You don’t have Radioshacks in your country anymore? :hushed:
I bought that keyboard recently because it’s mechanical and i type too hard for my regular membrane keyboard, lol

also a woman with small hands. i think the main issue might be her keybinds more than anything tbh. best to find a way for her to test the gamepad first tho. like at a microcenter or something. same thing with an mmo mouse. i could never get into it bc i would fat finger constantly when i borrowed my friends so i’m glad i never bought one.
i started with a razer blackwidow and i have a drakken right now. consolidating all my keybinds as densely as possible helped me a lot with reach. no modifiers on numbers. just 1234 shift-WASDQERZXC and RTFG plus my two side mouse buttons and mousewheel fits all my binds for protwarr and druid with some empty binds for other classes. good luck.

Not a girl, but those keypads are bad. The main selling point is the joystick, but it doesn’t work properly on any game without real joystick support. Diagonal won’t really work properly.

It’s also oriented in a non-intuitive way and you cannot calibrate it differently than how it comes. Or at least you couldn’t with the one I tried a few years ago. Orbweaver? I don’t remember the model name.

The other issue is that Razer makes it, and Razer uses absolute trash switches. Blue switches are mechanically inferior for gaming, regardless of what toddlers amused by the clicky sound will tell you. The actuation point and reset point are not the same, so if you double tap too quickly, you can hover in the float point where it counts as holding it down instead of double tapping. Razer doesn’t even use Blue switches anymore. They use “Green”, which are Chinese knockoffs of Blue switches, so they are even lower quality. Real gamers use brown switches.

Gamepads like the Orbweaver have adjustable grips so surely they would be able to also suite a more feminine hand.

Also lol at the people suggesting a mouse. A mouse and a gamepad are two completely different things ya’ll.

The main selling point is the better positioning of the hand. They are molded far more ergonomically than a keyboard, why you would pay the amount on a gamepad for a joystick is beyond me.

Comfort of use with a gamepad is 100x better than a keyboard hands down.

I have man hands and it’s too big. Great keypad, I just resign myself from using the top 5 buttons in combat and place things like my mount and out of combat stuff on it.

I have rather small hands, and I find that a standard keyboard with an LG G502 gaming mouse is perfect for my needs.
the mouse has 4 bindable buttons which in my experience is plenty for most specs “quick access” abilities, add Q and E keybinds for a total of 6 quick access abilities with 1-5 for general rotation and you are gucci.

I finally replaced my G15 this year after about 13 years with it! It still worked. But once when I was working from home I accidentally turned on my phone’s camera and it opened to a nice close up of the keys, and I got to see in great detail just how dirty and grimy it was. Went and got myself the G815, with tactile keys. It’s pretty delightful.

My husband uses the Tartarus, and it is too big for my hands. I had a gaming pad a long time ago – and I’m sorry, but I forget which one. It was round. /shrug

I swapped to a 12-button mouse, so I no longer use gaming pads. My hands, however, are freakishly small. LOL. Any woman with a full octave reach on a piano could use the Tartarus. I am one of the few who cannot. If your wife has small hands, and you’re truly concerned, you may need to take her with you to a store and actually touch the gaming pads to find one that works.

Or…as has been suggested, see how she feels about a 12-button mouse.

Am I the only one who just found out today that keypads were gender specific?

This gaming pad in place of a keyboard? Left handed, so sounds kind of nice for me… though I’d think most right handed people would be better off with a Naga/something involving more use of your right hand…regardless of gender.

No it isn’t. Your hand is positioned worse in any game where you still need the keyboard (i.e. any game with communication, including WoW) because your have to put the keypad off to the side of the keyboard.

Completely untrue unless your hands are freakishly twisted.

Even on Razer’s own website, there is absolutely no way the hand model is able to use all of the keys on the thing. At max extension, her pinky only gets two keys up the row of four.

Being disincentivized to ever move your hand when you cannot reach all of the keys means one of two options:

1: You are paying for something you cannot physically use, because you won’t move your hand.

2: You move your hand anyway, so the “ergonomic” palm rest bit just because a hurdle to overcome whenever you do so.

While we’re on the subject of ergonomics, even if the thing is strictly more comfortable, that doesn’t make it good in the long run. Sitting is strictly more comfortable than standing, but sitting on your butt all day is bad. Being the type of gamer who refuses to even move your wrist is going too far.

I agree that they cost too much, but the joystick being included is the whole point of the thing. It gives you access to more buttons with less movement and allows your thumb, which is typically used for maybe jumping and absolutely nothing else, to take over basic directional control, freeing up your fingers for relevant skill usage.

Didn’t know your hand changes if you have a “hole” or a “pole”

Feel like your baiting asking for “girl only”. Anyone can use any keyboard

“For girls” should just be “for small hands.” Though I’m sure this is very much known, considering how “alt-right” these forums lean it’s likely done purposely to be “anti-pc” and pwn the libs with forum posts.

Do gurls have more hands or fingers that they need a special gamepad :face_with_monocle:

Nah bro, I just learned that all girls have super tiny hands and can’t use the peripherals that men use, who all have massive giant colossus hands.

I know dudes with small hands

I mean we all know of one, in particular.
