Gaming Headsets

Hello all. I am returning to raiding soon and have not bought a headset in over a decade. Which ones do you use or prefer?

I use Redragon. Dunno if it’ll come with a mic, but I’m sure it does. Great products with a reasonable price, less than $50.

Some of them come with a glow-in-the-dark chrome color feature.

I just use speakers. Some Dell speakers that mount to my monitor. I don’t really voice chat with people but when I do voice chat I just use my iPad and Discord (but I have a webcam with a microphone plugged into my PC too, albeit, disabled in the security settings cuz I don’t use it).

As for headsets I don’t have any specific recommendations but I always like wireless ones back when I used to use headsets. You can get ones that have a dock which you drop your headset on and it charges them too (but they’re not Bluetooth).

I use a Logitech G432. Love it! Great price and great sound. Highly recommend.

I just buy cheap ones and keep extras in stock for when they fail. My boyfriend bought me a bluetooth one a while back that didn’t work. We are a two computer household, both in the same room. So when I use my headphones and he uses his speakers, we don’t hear cacophony.

I have a Turtle Beach headset. It works good.

The best wireless headset right now is the Razer Blackshark V2 2023 edition and it’s NOT close.

The microphone is comparable to a standalone mic set up–this in itself makes it the best.

It is $200 though so if you’re on a budget :man_shrugging:

Such a good headset, also really comfy lets not forget how important that is.

I have a Razer Blackshark V2 - I got it on sale. It’s super comfy, fits oblong around the whole ear, and has padding at the top head part. Sound is good. Comfy is great. I bought a year older on sale for 39.99 So was surprised has I thought if I didn’t spend over 100.00 I’d get a crap pair.

I’ve seen the newer versions at 99.99 plus

Adding to this for OP in case they wear glasses, it is also very comfortable while wearing glasses and doesn’t cause the kind of uncomfortable suction around the top of the ear that you’d get with tighter headsets like Arctis, Turtle Beach, Corsair, or Logitech.

Also no awful faux leather pads!

Exactly, good points. I love mine.

I tend to get very hot quickly when gaming so my headset needs to be light and comfortable. I’ve been very happy with the Corsair VOID Elite! Wireless of course because I can’t have a cord touching any piece of me lol…

Off market ones, Tatybo Gaming Headset for PS4 PS5 Switch Xbox One PC with RGB Light,…many colors for them and quite comfortable to wear too…first ones I found that don’t pinch my head or put pressure on my head…and only $20 dollars, and the cord is braided for protection…https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B6FHRZ6G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

I’ve been using the Hyper X Cloud Alpha series headsets off and on for a long time. They are my definite value pick.

If you’re an audiophile, you’re better off getting a non-gaming branded headset and a standalone mic.

I wouldn’t reccomend gaming headsets because they aren’t very durable and have poor microphone and sound quality.

The best kinds to get imo are studio quality headsets. I have an Audio-Technica ATH-M50x and it is still going strong after having owned it for 5+ years.

Yup. That’s what me and the wife have been using for a while now and we are both very happy with them.

I use a logitech I have had for about 6 years, it’s a duct tape monstrosity now, just ordered a new one

Same here. Excellent quality, low cost. I prefer wired over wireless.

I recently bought a new headset( Ozeino [2024 New] Gaming Headset) because one of the ears stopped working in my old one(Pacrate).
