I’m looking for a new chair but there’s so many idk where to even start.
I’m looking in the 100-200 range, nothing crazy.
Any recommendations?
(Edit: Since everyone is suggesting it I’m also taking recommendations for office chairs. I just wanna be comfy, I don’t care what type of chair it is lol)

All I can say is gaming chairs are the most uncomfortable chair you can get at that price range. And at that price range they are mostly all the same.
But, try to get one that is flat across the front, watch out for chairs that have “flaired” seats that curve up around the front corners. Mine has that and it is really uncomfortable around my thighs/knees. I cant really spread out my legs when playing. Maybe it was designed for women idk. I recently swapped back to my old regular office chair and I dont know why I even got a new one lol. Just my .02.
Don’t look for a “gaming chair” they’re horrible and uncomfortable.
Look for an office chair. Even the lower end office chairs are better than higher end gaming chairs.
It depends on which game you’re gaming.
If you’re into Devil May Cry, it has to be the plastic chair 
I have a gaming chair and I chose this one because it was the most comfortable one I sat in at the store for under $200. I didn’t really care if it was gaming or not, I just wanted something to sit in.

I mean I’m totally fine with an office chair if it’s comfy. Right now I have a regular chair and it’s awful 
Look at office chairs rather than gaming chairs. If possible, I think you should actually go to stores and try some yourself. It’s hard to choose the right chair just by description. If you spend even a couple of hours a day in it you really should be considering the ergonomics. Your body will thank you.
That budget seems tight for a good chair, but you might get lucky. If you find one you like the feel of look for someone selling one second hand. It can save you a fortune. The price of chairs has sky-rocketed these past few years unfortunately. I bought a steelcase leap v2 back in 2020 for 900ish dollars (aud). I just looked and theyre now more than 1600!
Seconding the “don’t get a gaming chair” voices.
I’ve tried one (a few hundred $).
They’re… okay.
But at best it was no different than my old $100 mesh chair and at worse it was, well, worse.
The only thing it really had going for it was build quality, but that doesn’t automatically make it a more comfortable chair.
(I’m assuming gaming chair = racer style bucket seat thing, I never see anything else branded as gaming when it comes to chairs)
Thirding the office chair thing.
Way better options and quality over the gaming branded chairs, generally speaking. You get what you pay for.
Office chair, as others mentioned. You won’t get any ‘gamer cred’ but I’m of the opinion that isn’t worth the extra hundred or two bucks they add on.
Every time I get something labeled “gaming chair” its uncomfortable to the point Im sliding down it and my butt hurts. They fall apart quickly too. Ergonomic chairs are best but they are super expensive for sure.
I would go to local office depot and sit test the ones they got.
Wish i could afford a Luxury Gaming Ergonomic Computer Cockpit Chair that looks like a scorpion but $3000 for a chair is jist crazy xD
I went to Staples ( I’m sorry , I cant come up with a synonym that isn’t another retail chain, office supply, etc…) And i Bought a gray ’ Managers Chair’ that was marked down 100$ from 239$, it has sufficient padding on the seat for much game time.
Equivalent gaming chairs did not have equivalent seat padding.
I’ve seen those, they’re intense. They look cool but I couldn’t justify that price. If I had that I’d be building a new PC lol
I think I might do that. I have a few office stores near me that sell chairs
I’ve had my SecretLab Titan for about 5yrs and am still quite satisfied with the purchase.
Yes, it’s beyond the OP’s suggested price range, but just offering a differing viewpoint against all these arguments that “gaming chairs” are terrible.

I have the Staples Hyken Mesh chair, usually $300 in sale right now for $99, it’s pretty great. I’m never thinking about the chair, which is what you want. Only recommendation would be to look for padding for the armrests.

Try to find a good quality used office ‘task / executive’ chair - a good chair is going to cost more than $200 new.
I use an office ‘task / executive’ chair that I got around the time of Wrath, and it is still comfortable and still going strong - but it cost more than $200 even back then.
