Anyone gonna stand in front of game stop at midnight for old time sake?

I try to avoid standing near Gamestops for any reason.

Already in line.

Nah I won’t be doing that sir

I was there was the BC release. I was one of the nerds who hung out of my buddy’s window screaming “for the horde”. I don’t know if I followed the stereotype or perpetuated the stereotype but it’s a fond night to remember

What you should do is talk to the cashier for a really long time while people with the things they came for are standing in line awkwardly

Preferably with the subject matter being smash brothers

I’m very sorry Sir–

The midnight launch for BC was pretty special. Standing in that giant line, talking to all the people around you and hearing their stories about what class they mained; and, what server they were on; faction; all of it! I’ve never experienced anything like it, before, or since! It was pretty cool to be a part of something like that; knowing that the same thing was going on all over the continent!!

I remember all those people crowding the local Gamestops and other places when BC came out. I walked over to Wal-Mart at midnight (only a 10 minute walk). The guy in electronics said, “I don’t know why everyone is acting crazy. We have hundreds of copies.” lol

There wouldn’t be a line. Furthermore, whoever is in the store probably wouldn’t have any idea what you’re talking about. He’d just ask if you want a box for battle for azeroth, or a little panda toy.

There’s a head-shop beside the one near me. Sounds like a good plan anyway.

Bought the game on the Saturday of the release week, so no midnight for me (in fact, only midnight release I ever attended was for GTA V). I live in an area that is heavily populated but most games/consoles don’t run out, other than the Nintendo Wii. Had no issue buying WoW. I can’t remember if I bought the original game at GameStop or Wal-Mart (where I worked at the time).

Game Stop might file for chapter 7 before that midnight party.

Remember doing that for BC and maybe Wrath … but yeah nope. Have fun and take vids to post.

When BC came out, I was at my local Gamestop at 11 PM. Only a handful of people were there so the manager let us inside. I sat on the floor in one corner, and did a 3 way call on my cell with my daughter and son (they live in different states from me) who were at their local Game-Stops standing in line and we talked on the phone until about 5 minutes till midnight. During that time, more and more people started showing up until there was a line half way down the sidewalk out front.

The last 2 or 3 expansion releases, my local Gamestop hasn’t done any midnight releases due to “Low Pre-Orders”.

Great Memories.
