Hey, so with the launch of 9.1.5, there is a gamebreaking bug in Ashran.
See for yourself:
As you can see, we killed their boss, but the game did not end!
(People still got quest credit for “Volrath Must Die” fortunately)
What this means is that the only way to win, for the time being, is on reinforcements.
This means that clever strats, like backdooring the boss, are not possible at the moment, as the game only ends when a reinforcements counter hits 0.
Blizzard, please fix this.
this happened to me once a few weeks ago. think it’s a rare bug but was here before this patch
If it’s something that only occurs when trying to back door it might be an undocumented fix to prevent it so people actually have to fight to win through reinforcements or pushing flags.
If you look at the video I linked, you can see that we were not backdooring. The “timer” for Volrath was active.
It’s not a new bug… I have seen this twice about 2-3 months back.
Just killed Volrath again. BG ended fine.
Seemed to be a 1-time thing.
