Able to login without any issues. But trying to switch realms just sits there. Show no characters on any realms. When I try to login with character just kicks me back to the character screen.

I am also unable to log in, though I reach the character select screen just fine. The loading bar stops at max and then disconnects me after a minute or two

Edit: I tried closing out of the launcher completely and reloading it, but nothing changed.

Completed logged out of launcher and came back in and was able to get into the game this time.

Same issue here, characters dont appear on the server select screen but load, when i try to get into the server, get stuck at loading screen.

I can load the character screen, but once the load screen gets to around 80% it freezes then I get the disconnect screen. Super fun.

I canā€™t get in either, but perhaps itā€™s hit or miss.

I Been stuck for over 15mn now.

Took a LONG time switching realms. Shut down and rebooted a couple of times. Then I finally got to the right realm and when I tried to log in my Lvl 60 Toon it said ā€œA character with that name already exists.ā€ Not making a new Toon. Same Toon Iā€™ve been playing for a while. Yes. There is already a Toon with that name. MINE!

So far I been on load screen two time 20min each time still not got in.

Having same problem. on US-Malā€™ganis and the loading screen gets near the end, then disconnects. Happens on all my characters, all addons disabled

Iā€™m dealing with the same issue. Iā€™ve opened a ticket with the following information:

World of Warcraft no longer launches after Tuesdayā€™s (7/30) patch. When I press the Play button, it changes to Launching for about 10-20 seconds, then turns back to the Play button without actually running the application. I have completed the following troubleshooting steps:

(All testing was done with no antivirus software installed and windows defender disabled. No other applications were running during testing.)

  1. Rebooted the system
  • Issue remains
  1. Used the launcherā€™s scan and repair tool
  • Issue remains
  1. Checked and updated my graphics card drivers. Rebooted and tested again.
    -Issue remains
  2. Uninstalled and reinstalled World of Warcraft
  • Issue remains
  1. Uninstalled and reinstalled the Battle.net launcher
  • Issue remains
  1. Attempted to run worldofwarcraft.exe in the retail folder and recieved a Windows message ā€˜This app canā€™t run on your pc.ā€™ My pc has run wow consistently at over 100fps. It has an Nvidia GeForce 2070 super, 32 gigs of Ram, a 10th gen intel i7 10700, and a terabyte of SSD.
  • Issue remains
  1. Deleted WTF, Cache, and Interface
    -Issue remains
  2. Added the dx11 force launch in game settings (-d3d11)
    -Issue remains

Please assist, Iā€™m unable to launch the application at all.

BB-area52 - Iā€™ve seen other people mentioning the steps Iā€™ve tried as helping them, maybe give them a try yourself and let me know if any of them work for you? Good luck!

I had this issue a few weeks ago, and it went away with time. I also contacted Blizzardā€™s support and they just told me to ask in the community.

The issue has now come back, (was able to run it fine yesterday morning, so maybe not Tuesdayā€™s patch) except whereas with the first issue, my computer would tell me it canā€™t run WoW when I try running it from the folder, now, my computer says ā€œInvalid access to memory location.ā€

No one has a solution for this?

Has anyone found a solution? Iā€™m having the same issue as Aquinas. I press ā€œPlayā€, it changes to ā€œLaunchingā€ for 20 seconds, and switches back to play. When I try running wow.exe directly it says ā€œThis app canā€™t run on your PCā€, even when running as administrator. Iā€™ve tried everything Aquinas lists in his troubleshooting steps, and Iā€™ve clean installed the game twice now, still nothing.

I have a 3070 ti, ryzen 7 5800x, 32 gigs of ram, 2 TB ssd, and Windows 10 64-bit. I donā€™t think it has anything to do with my specs. All of my drivers are updated. Please help. Thanks.

Edit for anyone who has the same issue: I used the ā€œScan and Repairā€ option in bnet launcher, and when it was done and said ā€œUpdateā€, I instead closed out of bnet, shut down any instances left in task manager, launched up a VPN, and then relaunched bnet and pressed ā€œUpdateā€. For whatever reason that fixed it for me this time. Hopefully if this happens again that will work.
