Game won't launch after full battlenet/wow install

Did a full uninstall of the game and battlenet launcher as well as a reinstall of everything; When I try to launch the game, it’s says it needs to update. I’m on version 10.2.7.55142 and any update yields the same version. What’s the deal?

That is the correct version.

Try running the scan and repair instead of check and updates.

What are your PC specs? Are you meeting minimum requirements.

Also check your driver and bios settings, make sure they are up to date.

Everything is up to date. no issues with compatibility/meeting system requirements. Drivers are all up to date as well. The game just doesn’t launch. I haven’t seen anything in my emails about being banned or anything like that.

Please add your DxDiag here or on Pastebin.com.

The Western Digital Smartware software is throwing a lot of errors. Also, I noticed your Windows drive doesn’t have enough free space to operate normally—and this could be part of the problem. Make sure all drives have 15% or more free space.

Problem signature:
P1: wdsmartware.exe

I also see the integrated GPU is having issues, so you may want to manually check for updates.

Display Tab 4: There is a problem with Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 device. For more information, search for ‘graphics device driver error code 22’

I got rid of wdsmartware, the integrated graphics card was disabled because I use a separate GPU for gameplay/viewing, so that has nothing to do with the game not launching. After reinstalling battlenet to the C-Drive and wow to my Z-drive, I was able to play for a little bit, but now battlenet launcher is still saying it needs to update and no longer launching the game.

So either the agent is still running in the background and is stuck in a loop (reboot should fix) or the directory you’re installing to is corrupted (bad permissions/corrupt download).

Closed, rebooted, wow updated to 10.2.7.55165, and is now going through the same exact cycle. I’ve reinstalled WoW two or three times now; I was able to briefly play for a bit. Is this to say that after downloading World of Warcraft at least twice, I’m still getting a corrupt download/bad permissions? How would I go about fixing that? The disk that has WoW on it was formatted fine and is brand new.

I know this sounds weird, Ive been having the same problems, did a full reinstall (wow and battle) and I have the game on a different HD on my puter than my battlenet. After it still not working, I did another scan and repair, on the brand new install, and it worked, until todays patch -.- the 55165. Now I am stuck again. :frowning: I dont want to spend hours fixing this game to play for a day or until the next patch messes it up again :frowning:
