The option to buy Game Time thru the character selection screen is not available, Reactivate now button sends me to the site to purchase game time. It usually shows the cost of game time with gold…
Do you have enough gold on that realm thats the only way it will show up.
From my understanding, if you’re not able to pay for game time from the char screen with gold, then you don’t have the needed amount for it. More to the point, the system doesn’t allow it if it’d leave you with zero gold on you server. It pulls gold from all your toons on that server to buy one.
yes, plenty of gold
Current Price of the wow token at the time of typing is 319,000 gold. If you have well over that then this is indeed a bug. If you dont thats your issue.
My brother has over 1mil gold. He just renewed his account from the character select screen. He selected the toon his gold was on and went to login. Upon logging in he got the message says no active account time. That it would charge him 322k gold as that was the price at the time.
Free trial accounts - accounts that have never had game time before - don’t have the option to buy tokens even if they happened to save up enough gold. Veteran accounts - accounts that once had game time but have had it lapse - can do so. This is one of several differences between the account types.
If you look through this forum, you’ll see that there’s an issue where all formerly acknowledged veteran accounts are being treated as free trials, which means the loss of any veteran perks like being able to buy tokens or keep chatting with guildies. It’s still unknown whether this is intentional or a bug, but it sounds like you’re facing the same basic issue.
With Tokens at 319,000 gold, and F2P accounts limiting characters to 1,000 gold, you would need 319 characters all on the same realm to buy a token. I’m pretty sure that exceeds the character limit. I suppose if tokens went down to 50,000, you could accomplish this, but if tokens were only 50k, that might indicate much bigger issues with the game.
That’s not really the crux of their point, Pööh. It’s meant to be a comparison to the purported problem with vet accounts.
ive had my account active since TBC and like to keep close to a million gold on each character, i knew none of those things mentioned where a problem. after contacting support, i am now able to purchase it from the character screen like before…might of been a bug.
Thank you all for your input.
Whatevs. I still like the idea of someone trying to amass 319 characters on one realm. They should, of course, all be Guardian Druids.
That’s a lot of Bears!!
