Game-time dwindling

I have to say, I am just a bit confused here. After multiple patches throughout the years. Extended downtime due to servers or maintenance.
Blizzard subscription at an almost all-time low.

Why are we still not being compensated for downtime?
One thing that would probably go a long way Blizz for your customers.
It’s a basic gratuity to your players these days.

If I am wrong, feel free to let me know.

Thank you for all your comments, except the forum trolls of course lol. For all those that answered I appreciate it.
At Rabititus, Thank you for pointing out the umbrella policy.

For those asking for a source. If you do not have your own portal through your own stock investing, BusinessWire will have a copy on the internet of Blizzard’s Quarterly Report.
Repeating this again for Peach .

Here’s your 15 cents worth of game time

Glad to know you don’t mind. Like to know what other people think.

Long downtimes are to be expected with an upcoming new expansion.

People don’t realize how much restructuring of the game is taking place with the level squish.

it’s only 5 hours, or 0.69% of 30 days. do you really expect blizzard to reimburse everyone for such a (relatively) tiny period of time?

besides, you agreed to this by subscribing

You’re entirely wrong.

Down time used to be a lot longer and more frequent.

Its been 5 hours… you expecting them to send you the 4 cents to your blizzard wallet?

It will be back online in one hour. Relax

I know you say this in jest, but…it’s $0.15 and you just appeased him and those like him.

I’ve certainly eaten bigger losses than $0.15 to make a customer happy. Hell, I won’t even bother giving anything worth less than $100.00 more than a few minutes of my time at work.

I’d rather they take a few extra hours here and there to bolt things down. This is planned and expected downtime. No reason to “compensate” you.

Agreed, throughout all the expansions, there has been a lot of downtime.

Can always tell who the new players are with these posts

I think we’ve gotten spoiled with short maintenance periods and having most patches go smoothly. We’ve either forgotten or not been around for the clusterflops that were patches in the early years, or the much longer weekly maintenance.

Where did you read/hear that at? Shadowlands sold like crazy.

Personally, I don’t really care. I think it’s good to know they are actively working to improve the game.

@mitran, Maintenance is not in their terms of service or end user agreement. We just expect it as MMO players to an extent.

I’ve done a lot of research in the speculated subscription amounts as Blizzard doesn’t release those numbers.

The speculated amount is 1.7-3.4 million with the largest possible number being “reported” at 7 million. The last reports from Blizzard are from 2015 and were sitting at I believe 12 million.

With all that said, I don’t think any person can make the statement “dwindling numbers” as there isnt enough concrete information on it.

First we must ask ourselves… what is “wrong” really? The opposite of “right” some may say. Some may also say there is no wrong when it comes to opinions. A fair statement.

In this case, it has been weighed and it has been proven through scientific and commonsense diagnosis, you are wrong.
