Game theory: We're the first ones

The “champions of azeroth” / “Maw-walkers” are actually the first ones.

It explains how we can uniquely interface with first one technology. We are the ‘reincarnation’ of the first ones who created the universe.

God I hope not but it wouldn’t surprise me at this point.

I’m sorry, I read the title as Gnome Theory.

But ya, we could be. We’ve got a couple billion years to screw up till the Younger Races arrive. Let’s roll!

That’s some cool head canon.

A theory differs from headcanon.

We’re robots playing robots made by other robots.

Reality is a social constreuct.

Highly doubt it. More likely we are just pawns for the will of Azeroth … what ever it actually is. Could be a titan, could be a demon child of Sargaras etc.

We are way to powerful for an average hero. Out health is to large. Our speed to fast, and our influence is terrifying. The fact we also commit mass scale genocide also does not help.

My theory is that OP is partially right, we are the “First Ones”, because the First Ones are just the people who made WoW, and it’s them hinting through story that they play the game just like us. Which is why we can interact with all the technology they made, figuratively and literally.

Yeah how about no wouldn’t even make sense in the case of Dracthyr

I’m still just hoping we get some huge shadowlands retcons and change the first ones into just being the titans. have the pantheon just be titan watchers.

Or, have the first ones be titans, but not the titan pantheon we know, maybe they’re just titans that arose in the shadowlands instead of the material plane. Perhaps each plane has its own group of titans.

I don’t know, but the idea of “the titans, but bigger” just really annoys me.

Can’t wait for the moment we become so powerful we become fully fledged gods that rule over all of the cosmos, travel back in time to creation, and design everything perfectly so we create a loop of guiding ourselves towards becoming gods due to our lust for power and wealth.

That would be the worse way to finish the wow lore off and it would perfectly follow what i expect will happen.

We have has titans but bigger since vanilla. The first introduction of “void lords” was in vanilla and stated they are more powerful than titans. We also got another sad mention of them in tbc. The mana tombs I do believe (was one of those 3) has an essence of a void lord as one of the bosses and the story of that boss is its mere presence destroyed countless planets and wiped out a universe. One of these planets was the ethereals home world hence why they travel now.

void lords aren’t titans but bigger, they’re void lords. They also weren’t around in vanilla.

the first ones are the exact same thing as titans, ordering the universe, robots and all, but bigger.

First ones arent titans either it was more a expression of how op phrased it. As in its another cosmic thing but bigger

I think you’re thinking of Murmur in Slabs but that’s described as an elemental, not a void lord.

That was a void lord (Dimensius the All-Devouring) but he’s handled in a quest in the Netherstorm.
