Game taking time launching, long loading screens

i have no idea what is happening and this is why i am posting here, since past week, i am having various issues with wow

  • game takes forever to load, despite being on a ssd
  • game stop responding when its opening and then i wait a bit and it starts working again
  • long loading screens when i try to log on a toon, same when i try to switch to different continents or go into a dungeon
  • said toon takes time to appear on screen, he also disappear when i summon a mount

so far, i tried to:

  • reset interface
  • remove all addons
  • renamed cache, wtf and addons as one article suggested
  • updated my graphic card drivers, also tried with past drivers to see if the latest one was the root of my problems
  • tried to play with really low settings in hope to improve stuff

but nothing is working so far and i have no clue what to try next

i tried other stuff like troubleshooting my graphic card, troubleshooting memory ram, repairing corrupted files on windows but nothing is working, its even worst because now the game refuse to launch

i am going to post a dxdiag in hope that someone could come up with a possible solution

Several errors that look to be related to malwarebytes. You may want to temporarily disable or Uninstall it to test.

i uninstalled malawarebytes, at least the game starts, but it still takes time and my loading screens takes forever

That sounds like a connection or server issue. If you’re playing WoW from an SSD/NVMe, the bulk of the loading screen time is actually network related.

A quick one to try to rule out:
Check to make sure both World of Warcraft\_retail_\WoW.exe and World of Warcraft\_retail_\Utils\WowVoiceProxy.exe are whitelisted on your firewall and antivirus softwares. If the voice proxy one can’t connect, due to firewall settings, then you’ll sit on loading screens until it times out.

i tried that but sadly it did not help but thx for the help

i reinitialised widows completly on my pc but my problems are persisting

I came back to try the game out for a month. Spent the entire month trying to load the game. lol Can’t say I’m surprised.

i wiped out the entire game of my driver and did a fresh re install and i still have the same issues, is there even someone left working in the tech support?

Some big Windows updates or BIOS updates remove your XMP setting in the BIOS.

Make sure your BIOS is the most up to date. Flash with a USB if needed.

Go to your BIOS ensure XMP is enabled still.

I assume you already checked that you are not overheating or bottle necking.

If you have a Samsung M.2 download Samsung Magician and update its firmware and even do a test on the M.2 I am assume other manufactures have similar software.

yeah i checked overheating and bottlenecking, apparently my motherboard does not support xmp cause i checked it

You rocking an AMD CPU?

If so: DOCP is short for Direct Overclock Profile , whereas EOCP is short for Extended Overclock Profiles . Both are XMP alternatives for AMD motherboards, with DOCP coming from ASUS and EOCP coming from Gigabyte, respectively.

I am sure their are other names.

here is the number of my motherboard
ASRock H310CM-DVS M80-B7003600182

i tried cpuz to see if my ram was at full speed, here is a link created with it

No reason I can think of that XMP wouldn’t be an option for you. Unless you have mismatching Ram or their not in the correct slots etc.

If you are just not seeing it. Hop on youtube and watch some ASRock BIOS videos for XMP options.

i checked a video on youtube, i went back into bios and i had no options with xmp

Triple check your bios version update it if needed. Maybe reach out to ASRocks customer care. Or start googling why you don’t have the option.

for some odd reasons, the game is launching just fine for the first time in weeks, i have no idea why and i won’t complain for now lol
