Last night I could play 12.1 fine after todays update and reset every 5 to 10 minutes the game stops responding and I have to close it out! I looked in the event viewer and this is all I get. I have zero addons.

Yup the game stops responding for me too when I open the map in the new zone. Outside of it I am fine.
i have the same problem, yesterday was fine but today the game freeze when i open the map in the new zone
yeah not sure whats going on was hoping more had issues and posted in here so it would be known to blizzard, mine freezes when I mount up or am on the mount in the sky
I start battle.net, press the play button, launching button momentarily appears and then the play button reappears and the game does not launch.
just happened again this time opening the map
same “ (Not Responding)” sometimes opening map, sometimes panning camera quickly, sometimes just because… has happened 4 times in the last hour or so / shrug

every time we get lair boss to 25% the game becomes unresponsive
I’ve encountered 5 crashes so far today.
Same issue: game eventually becomes unresponsive and crashes.
No mods enabled, and all drivers up-to-date.
Having this same issue. All addons disabled. Game will eventually become unresponsive after opening the map
Hey all,
Disabling addons just removes some visual elements, it does not prevent them from interacting with the game. The only way to test without them is to drag their directory out of the game folder on Windows.
good to know but I have zero addons installed ive only used blizzards in game stuff.
Blizzard’s own stock UI elements can become corrupted and bugged as well, which is why this reset is recommended for both situations.
Guess we are going to waiti till tomorrow for someone to respond to us. Went from working fine to shutting down today and now game is broke. I just get froze loading on the load screen then DC’ed
This is the player-to-player troubleshooting forum, so you’re unlikely to see a “blue” post on this.
UI reset is the standard troubleshooting procedure for the issues reported, regardless of whether addons are currently being used.
Just back up the folders so you can revert changes, if needed.
I’ve noticed I get the “Not Responding” crash on the map if I hover over a world quest in Zul’Aman. I do not use addons and have never done so.
The default UI can also become corrupted, so a UI reset is the best troubleshooting step.
